Really wish the would do a retired player version using the 1993 design.

The problem with Finest is that after the initial 1993 design, each year the design got worse and worse....

Also would love to see a retro Gold Label product featuring the original 1999 Gold Label design....

I like the 1995-1997 designs. They are busy but colorfully saturated and different. some of the90s basketball designs were better

Page 311, Post 7772 was the last 2021 Super Update that I recall

Curious if they add another parallel this year. Those Prizms are pretty nice. Maybe a bronze like 1995?

Thanks for the info, saved me hours of searching.

With each new set, the parallel schemes become more complicated. Bronze would be a logical addition, maybe as a boxloader since they are oversized and beveled?

No new parallels if I get a vote. 2020 was great because parallels were tough and that made them very desirable. 2021 added the prism, improved the auto checklist and threw in the legends while keeping the PR in check. This made the 2021 boxes feel a lot more rewarding than 2020.

I am sure with Wandermania that we are already in for a significant price bump, so personally I don't want to see anymore parallels to water down the product more - it is close to perfect as is in my mind.

'96 and '97 Finest are a couple of the all time greats IMO. Both sets would offer a ton of beautiful subset parallels. Really any of the 7 subsets in '96 would be beauties in colored refractors.

And for '97...could we see the Embossed and Embossed Refractors? Yes. Yes Please.

The BEST parallels of 2020 were the Red Parallels. Specifically the Mike Trout Red Auto! Haha

Haha for sure! Hopefully my BGS 10 Auto on the Green holds a premium because it’s the only 10 grade received and the clearest auto out of all that have been pulled.

It should hold a premium. Specifically for those "in the know". New clectors and outsiders won't really know this

The one that would break the bank, Luis Robert. Luckily Redbandit had one for sale recently in the B/S/T. I already had the Gold Refractor from a Buff group break. Prices on him have taken a serious dip and really, the entire set has. But I'm ok with that. I've enjoyed the journey reaching out to people on BO and all over social media between Facebook, IG, Twitter and ebay. Over that course I've attained about a dozen superfractors. I'll share those down the line as well.

Nice accomplishment on this set. One of my favorite as I’m chasing the Gold Refractor Set slowly but hopefully surely. Were you able to buy a large lot or was the majority from opening boxes?

I bought about a dozen boxes to personally break but many were from Wiffle Breakers when they did the 20 box breaks. I'd bid on every auction that I needed a refractor from. So I'd win like 40 player spots and get about 4 refractors. A terrible strategy in retrospect but it was damn fun! Haha. Again, it was about the journey during a very tough year for many. Besides, those Wiffle Breakers dudes were pretty funny. Another good majority were from Blowout members and BO breakers like Houdini and Buffy. The rest from eBay and social media sites. I'd like to break more boxes though.They are hanging around at $420 on eBay. Good luck on your gold set. I know with my refractor set, there were a few that were practically impossible to find. I just classified them as being hoarded. Ha

A little update, my dang computer crashed and took all my flies with it. Nothing earth shattering but had my spreadsheets, tracker and pictures on it. So it's gonna be awhile once I find the energy and motivation to redo it all. I did do somewhat of an inventory prior to that and have decided to build a second set. I realized I'm only 40 cards short of another refractor set with all the big players already out of the way except, of course, Luis Robert. I should be done with this second set, hopefully, by the end of the year.
