Trout is going to have a big bounce-back season next year -- guarantee it. But it might be time for him to move to a corner outfield spot as he enters his 30s. He's a big guy and playing centerfield full time just isn't sustainable at that size.

Honest to goodness this guys offseason weight is a lot less than during the season. He could be a short stop most of the year if stayed natty.

His joints due to test are likely the age of a 60 year old by now. Scroll his insta, its almost like he's trying to secretly tell people he needs to get caught..... big arms little arms big arms little arms.

Move em to 1st.

I don't recall Tom Brady getting hurt every year from age 25 to age 30. Why not say he could be the next Barry Bonds? Barry put up decent stats in his late 30s.

Don’t try to legitimize Bonds here, he hit much better in his final years than his earlier ones, and we know why. Aside from enhancing performance his PEDs made him heal faster. Odd to try to use Bonds as an example unless you want Trout to use PEDs as well.

Barry had a needle in his ass before games for ???? Years —- does not qualify for the HOF, or as a viable Player comparison in this thread

Just look at this Thread now - what a turd toss!

You know who I blame? The HORRIBLE Angels Ownership and Management. We’re here making up silly scenarios, to fill the void left by lack of information and updates from the Angels. Just imagine if they said something like this:

“To update our Family, which is you our loyal Fans, Mike Trout is still working thru rehab issues with his calf, and will not be Playing again the rest of this Season. We apologize for our well intended but inaccurate initial statement referencing a 6-8 Week healing process. Unfortunately, we now know his injury is much more serious than we first reported, and that it is in fact, a season ending one. Thank you for your support throughout the Years, and we will continue to provide updates, and do everything we can to get your Superstar and ours, Mike Trout, back on the field Opening Day of next Season”

Hey— that was pretty good, wasn’t it?

I’ll never forget when the Angels offered Trout his Monster Contract Extension, they said they didn’t want to go down in History as the Team that let him get away. What the hell is that? How about instead, saying that Trout will be the foundation for building a winning Team for many years to come …….

Trouts doing the same thing Bonds did Don't kid yourself. He's just not half as good a ballplayer as bonds on his worst day.

That’s ok. Bonds will never have 1/10th the class Trout has. I’m pretty sure he’s rather be remembered as a guy who played right versus a tainted douche bag who cheated to get his.

I think a lot of Acuna and Tatis guys are just taking out their frustrations on Trout in this thread.

So what about the Soto guys?

Or is anyone allowed to not have a motive behind their comments?

Soto is holding up fine on his own.

Acuna has been out for months and Tatis is on the verge of losing the MVP, so there is saltiness amongst them.

2020…
Bichette and Vlad were said to have been washed up already by many on these boards. Neither were the hitter/player people thought. Bichette was injured and Vlad Jr forgot how to hit. Their joint funeral was attended by many.

2021…
Soto seemed to have lost his mojo and his swing.
Many bailed and felt he was done and headed for the scrap heap. Last years short season success and Batting Title was a fluke and he seemed to be destined for another “what could have been”.

Players get hurt. I know that’s a newsflash for some, but it happens. Sometime this injuries aren’t nagging, sometimes they exact a season long toll.
Players also bounce back a lot of those times and still have HOF or superstar careers. I remember when Miggy was written off because he had become fat and many felt he was done never to become the bright supernova that he seemed to be headed towards in the early 2000s. He seemed to figure it out and won a Triple Crown and solidified a HOF career.
Collecting is fun, or at least it should be.
Buying and selling, flipping, holding, PCing guys is fun but can also be stressful if money is the focus.
The ebb and flow of players success can make it super stressful too, but at the same time it can still be fun finding hidden gems or cashing in on a hot player. If Trout manages to bounce back the game will be better for it, but if not it will disappoint many who have spent a great deal banking on his success.
Seems they are more upset or nervous that his not playing may hurt their portfolio than actually caring that a generational talent could be done.

I’m glad my life doesn’t depend on the value of cardboard with photos on it. I still buy, still sell, still rip. I used to stress about cards and prices, but over the past few years my health has been a larger focus and helped me refocus and prioritize what’s important. Some of you have amazing collections and I enjoy seeing them. I hope all of you who have high end stuff do well and have fun doing it.

He is just as viable as Tom Brady.

Why would we want to buy your Trouts and lose money? No one wants to try to catch falling knifes. I wasn't buying 1989 UD Griffeys when they were going from 150 to 20. I am not buying Trouts now.
