What’s also funny is that when I realized how much she had, I needed a buggy to carry all of it. I sat it down and she said, “Be quick, its first come, first serve!” So I hustled to an empty buggy pretty quickly and loaded it all up and made sure to thank her again. Knowing now that the other guy was just after me, I would have felt like an idiot if he had gotten all of it while I was getting the buggy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I usually go to 7-10 Walmart's every Thursday and Friday. Usually find nothing. I've thought several times I've had multiple rep schedules down but they seem to never be the same. Some weeks the same Walmart stocks Thursday morning the next week it's sometime Saturday. Could be 8 am could be 8 pm. I've seen the rep stocking once as soon as the doors opened and another time saw it close to closing time. Even if I do catch the rep it's usually a 4-10 way split of less than $500 worth. Which means I usually get next to nothing still. Or I get screwed by the rep like the one time me and one other guy should have had a 2 way split of about $2,000 worth of Chronicles and Illusions and the rep refused to give us more than a little. We maybe got $200 each. She kept it all in the boxes and refused to put it out on the shelves. But I don't know what's more stupid. The $15,000+ I threw away into the Topps Project money pit or the fact I keep wasting all this time going to all these stores.

I love you and hate you at the same time, I want to be you yet loathe you, I would have taken it all too yet left one for the kids, I am a Wal-Mart shopper.
I am rip less, I am heartless, I am a sports card collector. |

For being so vocally team ANTIFAt and CFO of the #nbaisajoke fanclub, your retail enthusiasm and persistence is fascinating.
Like watching the Clayton Bigsby sketch for the first time...every time.

If you are like me and stuck buying on Ebay, I think today might be the low point.

Local store here came up with a new thing. An employee is allowed to stand by the cards until 7am when the doors are opened and then they are allowed to grab everything. As long as they are clocked out.
So by the time anyone outside can walk to the cards it's all gone in a few seconds before you get there. Pretty sweet. |

I wish Gamestop would get into the sports card retail game.
Seems like they're desperate for customers, and they already sell Pokemon/gaming cards.

0/3 today.
Did find an ETB Champions path box that was not completely sealed on one end. Real weird. Left it. |

You can sell it for more online, and don't need to pay employees that are being bribed, stalked, harassed, etc to put product on the shelf. It's unfortunate, but it's what retail for sports cards has become. Panini should just sell all retail for 2x, as it would most likely sell out instantly with the exception of a few products.

i doubt they are shutting everything down. That said the black friday like rush is something they’ll have to figure out. It gets hectic in most stores and walmart is honestly negligent letting these wild free for all’s go on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don’t really understand this. Maybe it happens more than I’m privy to, but I’ve been chasing down a lot of retail in my area and the nearby metro and have yet to run into a situation that even had a chance of getting ugly. The solution is pretty simple, ban the bad actors and move on. It’s not a widespread issue that requires drastic solutions.

in my area i’m familiar with several stores and they all operate differently. one has an orderly line process that is policed by the regular customers. Little walmart input. At others the rep/store managers make everyone stand back while she stocks and when she says go everyone rushes the display and grabs as much as they can. it’s like a 60 second frenzy.
