I've always wondered this for the base version of the card. I'd assume BGS PSA population reports will guide us somewhat

Why bother? Why take a chance he fs something up way worse by favoring the current injury? Like a knee or Achilles etc etc

That's 3 straight MONSTER seasons he's had cut short with significant injuries.

He would have likely gone 40-40 a couple years back, and this year he would have probably had 50 homers by now.

A gem 10 update rookie would be selling for $1200 or 1300 had the injuries not gotten to him these last few years.

“We just weren’t sure if the foot would be OK after the cryoablation treatment,” Angels manager Brad Ausmus said after Friday’s 11-4 loss. “He put his shoes on, his turfs on and it kind of fired back up again. Rather than force him out there, we just scratched him.”

Sounds like he’s going to be done for the season.

No Yelly and no Trout for the rest of 2019 would be a bad thing

Please read what Mike Trout said below.

ROTOWORLD:

Mike Trout (foot) admitted Saturday that there has been discussion about shutting him down for the remainder of the 2019 season.

Trout maintains that he's adamant about playing though, and plans to return to the lineup as the team's designated hitter on Sunday. He did concede however, that he will serve as the designated hitter far more than he'll play center field over the final few weeks of the season.

TWITTER: @FabianArdaya (covers the Angels in The Athletic)

Mike Trout said there’s been discussion about shutting him down for the year, but he’s remained adamant about playing. He said he’s hoping to be in the lineup tomorrow and DH. He feels he will DH more than CF down the stretch.

What significant injury did he have in 2018?

I believe NO ONE wants that 3rd MVP more than MIKE TROUT himself. It’s at the tip of his fingers. Mike Trout is blessed that he has the DH option, especially with Ohtani out for the rest of the season. Until I clearly see that Mike Trout is out for the season, I believe he will be out there DH’ing tomorrow, if not tomorrow, the next game.

Correct. This whole narrative of 2018 being an injury shortened season is ridiculous.

I still have Trout as MVP if he doesn't play again this year. I've read some articles hyping Bregman, but Trout will get the award. The vote will be closer than it was, but it is still Trout's to lose this year. Just my opinion.

Trout is the MVP

Bregman isn't even the best player on his team

I’m curious who everyone thinks will win MVP if Trout sits out the rest of the season?
