Just comparing Luka Optic vs Patty Optic or even Lamar Optic (I know, we are making a lot of things complicated here), it seems like there is this artificial ceiling on 2018 Optic due to the depressed Prizm value from increased supply.

Definitely makes some sense, if the prizm is indeed depressed (it still seems pretty strong but I agree I would have thought it would be a little higher priced).

What are the general estimates for each of these cards’ PR? Meaning the optic and prizm base cards?

I don’t think this is that outrageous. Mahomes is at $4k with a pop that is more than double. He’s got the MVP and SB, but we all know basketball superstardom crushes football superstardom.

agree.

people starting to realise that the pop on the holo's is quite limited, certainly compared to prizm.

PSA 9 Holo’s chugging along towards 2K if 4K is new norm for Holo 10.

Probably just did something dumb but i seriously can’t even keep up with this guys prices anymore, picked up a courtside psa 10 for $3500 BIN on eBay, maybe I’m wrong but feels like PSA 10s don’t show up all that often.

It’s probably my favorite <5k card of his, here goes nothin!

enough. The best luka base card and it's not even close. It will never be lower than the price you just paid. You would be a bbn less to turn a profit in a week. Never a bad investment.

Great pickup! I've purchased my PSA 10 when it was $500 and just bought another one for $2K about 1,5 weeks ago, because I love that card so much, that probably I could never sell it if I would have only 1 copy. Now with an average price of $1250 I can cashout on one anytime and keep 1 of those beauties for my PC.

The Blue Crusade was the first blue I went after because it is a sweet card and had history behind it. I think they would be over 2K in BGS or PSA now. The Phoenix shot up fast and has now gone missing on eBay. The Crusade Blue is tucked away in collections. As many have stated, the blue parallels are the safe money with Luka. Limited but still available and the matching colors really pop. Yes I have one in BGS 9.5 True Mint. Thought about crossing, but was advised crossover is a waste of money more times than not.

I can't believe i sold a 2018 Prizm Sensational Sigs Mojo Auto of his for $1200 the week of release... Big regrets there...

Oh man....that is a huge regret I know. Luka is a big time hold unless people need the money. I bet that card, if graded PSA 10, if a 5K card. I am sure you made a nice profit, but ugh. Well at least you had a Luka auto.

I bought a case and hit that in the 2nd box. Also hit a base Kobe Gold /10.

I ended up keeping a bunch of PC cards at the time and made back the cost of the case in 4 or 5 cards. At the time I was pretty happy but looking back on it now it hurts a bit

It is hard not to look back when you know you had in your possession card you sold way too early. That Kobe gold /10....you sold that too? I regret selling my only Kobe Auto because I have one redemption in with Panini or him and one in hand that I have no clue what they will do, especially since his tragic death and the old system not showing...ugh.

Probably don’t want to hear this, but the base rookie mojo prizm auto (a similar card, but maybe a little more desired than the sensational signatures version) in BGS 9 just sold for $5600.

I think a psa 10 sensational signatures mojo would sell for a lot more than $5k...
