Judge gets my vote (not that I have one). Ohtani is doing incredible things again but the Angels being so bad has hurt him. Judge means a lot to a good Yankees team so that, to me, is the MVP.

That’s what makes Judge an MVP… while many on your list were the most valuable at some point in the season, it’s Judge that actually upped his game and drove an amazing finish!!!

Not sure, but Fangraphs has Mookie's 2018 (10.6) as the best since 2004 Bonds (11.9).

For reference, Judge right now is already valued higher than Trout's two best seasons (10.1 in 2012, 10.2 in 2013).

For those saying Judge is no doubt because he is starting to pull away - just yesterday Ohtani stoned a good playoff contender 7 innings, 8ks, 0 runs - and oh yeah accounted for both runs on offense. And previously stoned the Astros cold in 2 starts. Top 10 in pitching and hitting is still insanity - no less so because it happened last year also.

I think Judge edges him out, but no need to minimize the greatness we are seeing in Anaheim.

I'm not even sure that Ohtani could win it with a perfect game and 10 HR's.

We are not saying Ohtani isn’t great because he is, I just would like to see him pitch in the middle of a pennant race or in a playoff game. It is pressure free when his team has nothing to lose which isn’t his fault but it does change the circumstances. I am almost positive he would still be as good but there is no way to know until we see it.
