True story: By McKee's second career drive, the entire stadium was chanting "MVP"

McKee jinxed the Frenzy jinx. I love to see it!

I may even send those Contenders cards in to Beckett

No reason for Hurts to play next week against the Giants. If they decide to rest Pickett as well, we might just get our first McKee start.

Couldn't resist scooping up a couple more. I can justify it based on all the McKees I sold today

I missed out on a real sick patch which had the entire Eagle head. Love the Select Gold /10

[OptaSTATS]: Tanner McKee of the @Eagles is the first player in the NFL Draft era (since 1936) to have multiple TD passes in his NFL debut while attempting five or fewer passes.

No it’s not. I’m actually not a fan of patches but the Eagle logo or part of it I thought was cool

So what is everybody’s opinion overall on Tanner’s debut? 3/4 for 54 yards and two TD.
I think he looked poised and prepared. Maybe this was a good audition for the unquestioned number 2 QB spot or maybe another team tabs him as a bridge QB.
I was very impressed

When coming off the bench I want to see guys look calm and in control. He absolutely did and exceeded expectations but I can't read too much into it. He came in with a 24-7 lead against a depleted Cowboys team 3rd and goal from the 7 yard line.

He looked the part, so far, but I'd want to see him get snaps against a stronger opponent with higher stakes and not a 3 score advantage before I sign the lease to my new Porsche.

I would say the same for any 3rd string quarterback. It's no knock on the guy. I've seen starters do far worse. He can be legit.

And the evaluative ambiguity will likely continue next week even if he gets the start—as the only real stakes in the game will be whether Barkley gets the record.

Which means McKee wouldn’t be asked to do much and the Giants D will be hyper-focused on stopping the run.

I can be patient

I want McKee to succeed and who doesn't love a good underdog story.

The Eagles definitely have to feel confident in Tanner after what they saw

He had happy feet or odd footwork on some of the hand offs but the poise and passes were very nice

I have to imagine it’s quite a difference handing off to practice squad backs versus Saquon in full Beast Mode.

You have to wonder how many QB “busts” would have had different career arcs if their first live action had come with a stacked team in the middle of a blowout? I feel like a lot of guys have trouble shaking a bad first experience while others feed on that early success.

Looked good today. Perfect situation to go into with a big lead/no pressure in front of a home crowd who’s been waiting for him to see the field. It was a fun thing to watch for you guys.

Next week against the hapless Giants defense seems like a fitting way to make his first start as well. Does Saquon play if the game is meaningless though?

They're all aware of the record. Unless Saquon actively doesn't care, they'll work to help him get it.

Very very tricky situation considering his injury history. However, I do agree that they will probably let him decide.
