Was not his best performance from what I see statistically (did not see the game) but as I posted early today this was a good enough outing to now say Rick Porcello will be the 2016 Cy Young winner!!

And the Sox are now 'officially' in the playoffs!

Nota bad time of year to get on a roll, 10 straight and counting.

Sox are now the #2 seed in the AL just 1 game behind Texas.

Not a big Red Sox fan (I'm from Cardinal territory LOL) - but just gotta drop in and say how impressed I am with Big Papi - what a class act - to ask the Rays to honor Jose Fernandez instead of him before the game today. I saw where Longo and Chris Archer presented him with an oil painting and some cigars after the game. Also, heard him talking on ESPN this morning about Fernandez - what a great player AND man. It's a shame he's retiring - the game needs more guys like this!!

David Ortiz has been a class act throughout his career in Boston, he has done so much for the community here as well as his native Dominican Republic, his gesture today comes as no surprise to Red Sox nation.

Yeap, I've always realized how beloved he is in Boston, as he should be - Just hope you all realize how appreciated he is outside of Boston too. The game will not be the same without him.
