I don't think anyone including the league, its officials, or fans wants to see a potentially Zion-less Pels squad take up a postseason slot.

This is just ugly, ugly basketball they've been playing the past 3 weeks.

48 minutes of waterboarding.

Put Weatherspoon out there already.

I'd like to commend the fine gentlemen (and women) of this thread for not hopping into the Ja thread to troll. It again speaks to the spirit of the people who only pop in to say something negative about big boi.

It’s been a rough year for those of us that collect both. This is the first season that I actually started to question why the heck I keep collecting either of these two.

Should be some news coming out soon. Lets pray for Big Z. Please get him into the playoffs! "Williamson will not play on Monday, March 6. He will undergo medical imaging when the team returns to New Orleans following its meeting with the Kings."

Doesn't really matter what seed they get...just get in.

If you're truly collecting because you just love the players, then who cares. But if there's "investments" on the line...then yeh, you should probably start thinking long and hard (that's what she said).

I get that. Sports cards are a hobby in the truest sense of the word for me. Ja and Zion could literally never play another game in the NBA and it wouldn’t affect the financial future of me or my family in the slightest.

My point is that the joy is sucked out of collecting when one player is a complete idiot and the other only plays a handful of games each season. For me, the inflection point comes when my collection is no longer providing any enjoyment or value from a hobby perspective. I can’t help but think about the “free” rounds of golf my Ja collection would provide this season if I just let it all go

I love Blake Bortles but I like buying his cards now (which I still do) versus six years ago given the fall in price. I think had I bought the same cards six years ago and saw what I could get them for now, I’d be mad at myself.

Cards are a unique hobby in that they have an inherent investment side to them whether you like it or not. I also collect Hot Toys figures and I never sweat what I pay for those since everyone is paying the same price for a specific figure. Cards don’t follow that same price structure which can cause stress for folks.

At least at this point we know Z's body is simply broken, and it's out of his control.

Ja's on some weird, self-sabotaging ish.

Either way, it sucks as a fan. Kards are just a secondary extension of my love of the game. I don't see how anyone here who continues to state their displeasure of the current NBA could buy or hold any modern. That's the ultimate definition of an investerboi. Not difficult to pick them out a lineup, they typically out themselves.

Same. I love both players, and have both of their One and One RCs which are a couple of my favourite cards.

But honestly I would rather watch both of these guys healthy and playing, than worry about potential realised losses on these cards.

per Brian Windhorst this morning:

Report: Zion Williamson is not close to a return,
“I think his setback was significant”

Not sure if that means he is done for the season or still has a chance to come back, but not looking good for Zion. At some point this guy has to play more than the 30 games or so he has been averaging per season.

Less than 20 games with the Pelicans playoff hopes looking bleak when he's off the floor.

Tank.

Man that sucks. He’s so fun to watch I want him on the court. Pelicans are on the hook for almost 40 million a year over the next 5 years.

It really is amazing how fast the top of the draft is falling. Ja, of course, has a chance to make this a speed bump.
I have been in the hopeful camp with Zion. Seems like a likeable guy. His big red flag coming out of college seems to have come to fruition. Just don't see him staying healthy enough to become the megastar. The only good news is that he is still only 22. Curry had issues as well early on and than became very durable. Curry needed to up his strength. Zion needs to find the correct weight/strength ratio.

Jonas V. Kelce sang it best.

BBDub's time away helped me rediscover myself and get back to the things I enjoy most in life.

Cars, Tinder, and non-airbrushed futbol de colegio wax.
