This is a sleeper card for a high end product. It’s his rookie year and on - card. Think about any on-card Lebron from his rookie year.

I like Select a lot. The tiered RC structure and being a hobby only product definitely hurts. The brand could also help itself by getting rid of the ridiculous patterns on the Courtside parallels.

I personally like select more than both Optic and Prizm. I like the three tiers and how courtsides are more rare.

Select is too confusing for people. Also being hobby only drives up SRP and keeps it away from the average collector

It's wild, but not like NBA cards haven't seen this before.

Curry mania, Giannis stuff took giant leaps in short bursts, etc.

What people are banking on is that Luka ends up being a transcendent superstar in the NBA. Beyond the Ben Simmons or Damian Lillard level, all the way up to LeBron level.

He's in several statistical "clubs" that only he and LeBron are part of, like the 5/5/5 group (5 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 free throws attempted per game as teenagers in the NBA) and several per-36 records for teenagers in the NBA.

And the NBA isn't like baseball, where somebody gets called up on a heater and then fizzle out never to be heard from again. Barring Tyreke Evans-level career implosion, Luka is a raw form of what he will eventually be - an MVP candidate every year and we'll see how he fares in the playoffs. That will determine if he's lumped in with Harden or with LeBron.

This was a long overdue spike, if anything.

If he is in the running for MVP or singlehandedly takes over a playoff series, there will be another big spike. Not 5x in a month, but 3x in a month is still possible if he just keeps doing what he's doing.

What I like about Luka is the lack of dependency on his athleticism, that significantly lowers his downside IMO.

I had the same thought. He's quick but not a high flyer or acrobatic finisher.
Super developed fundamentals, basketball IQ and a Magic Johnson build.

I saw a few of the Doncic Shock RRs have Printing lines on them, which is almost expected in Chrome cards, but on eBay people are trying to sell them as errors and selling them for more than the going rate.

Is this really a thing? Will people really pay extra for a card with a printing line in it?

Yeah I never had any doubts about the kid, I guess just surprised there are so many people just now realizing how good he is and driving things up. Very sad I let a couple silvers go in the $200s this summer to pay for silly things like breaks, but what can ya do. I did hold on to several RPAs at least, I see the prices on those are slowly creeping up, but weird that serial #’d cards are going at a much slower pace than the mass produced stuff

Trout 175 and LBJ TC. The SNs will catch up at some point. Maybe load up?

Don't try to apply logic to relative Doncic card prices. For example, would you rather have two PSA 10 silvers (of which there are a bjillion) or a galactic (of which there are ~15). Things will even out eventually, but they are a bit choppy at present.

My guess is in a year or two from now we're going to be wishing we snagged these up for those prices!!

Do we know the number of holo's produced?? I honestly like the orange and green better than the silver holo!

I've heard the Holo print run is somewhere between 1200-1500. I also like the Orange and Green better.

The sleeper card is the premium /249.

Tell that last sentence to the Red prizm /299 PSA 10 that did $1,712 last night... that was a $500 card in October
