More than ridiculous. Completely out of control. Those perpetuating it -- the grading companies and the card doctors -- are unchecked and unregulated within the industry. That needs to change either through strict outside regulation or through the deterrence of indictments, fines and prison sentences.

It shouldn't be, that account belonged to HawkDynasty....whatever his real name is that I'm too lazy to look up.

"Lord Stanley" is going to be a pretty common term utilized by hockey fans since that is who the cup is named after and is also a big Canadian icon.

To a degree. Lord Stanley was recalled to England and never actually witnessed a Stanley Cup challenge. Also, the cup currently awarded is not the original.

Ahh OK. I just saw the email and it rang a bell which matched the name Lordstanley (I am not a Hockey guy) but makes sense now. In addition with buying resale lots I found it interesting.

Thanks

If some of the cards are tainted shouldn't we assume they all are? It shouldn't be up to the buyers to figure out if their $20 psa graded card is altered or not if it originated from those sellers...then the buyer needs to prove it and send them proof to get their $20 back? Or better yet $1 insert? Doesn't sound right.

Buyer didn't do anything wrong. The seller got greedy and they should pay the price.
This is legitimate but certainly under any circumstance is COMC not liable. If you bought $20 worth of cards, SUSPECT they are altered, and are waiting in a queue to get it back then you have way bigger problems. WAY bigger

How's everyone feeling out there about being the "best" in the arbitrary PSA Set Registry with the altered cards you're likely holding within it? Anyone want to chime in on this?

Wow, I could spot the trimming on this card from across the room. This is a crime.....

Nope, and I bought a large number of graded cards from hawkdynasty right before this broke. I had some shipped to me a couple days back to see what they would do, and the order has been flagged as shipped with not even one peep from COMC.

I don't know if this is just cache or what, but I see hawkdynasty as still having an active account. 2 items for sale right now.

Well there’s multiple other accounts that I highly suspect are linked to these guys and they’re still active, so anything is possible. If they don’t ban these three accounts they’re making a huge mistake.

Since most of these altered cards were purchased over 30 days ago, will COMC be charging people a % to get their money cashed out?

That won’t be an issue if they don’t contact any buyers of trimmed cards.

True the majority of buyers probably don't know the sellers involved...since there was no announcement.

Thank you to all the hard work put in by BODA.
