1 of my Early Soto buying regrets was passing on about 10 US300 Gold's cause of the white corner cottontail.... got a couple nice ones but they were only selling raw for about $75 to $125 per card at that time in March/ April 2019.

on a positive note I have not sold 1 Soto card from my PC and do not intend to until 2024 season at the earliest.

I sold my xfractor PSA 10 about a week ago, and Im regretting it.

In 2024 Soto will be 25 yo and "if" he has 3 more great seasons I'll be letting some go. maybe it is the "Trout" syndrome --not to sell to early???

I basically didn't buy ANY Soto cards because I bought a Transcendent auto, which came back a PSA 10, and I figured "This is a big enough card that I'm covered if Soto ever goes Trout."

It seemed like solid logic at the time. But as I type it out now, it sure sounds stupid.

Early Soto regrets; I’ll bite.
Sold the chrome gold jersey number in late ‘18 for $900... but, I used the 900 to buy a ton more boxes that yielded many that I still do have... Still, those golds in hand are just beautiful.

Not many collectors could have predicted the major price increases over the last 12 months.
I dropped off a bulk order with PSA at the Feb 6th 2020 Baseball Convention in Houston Texas. The order popped around July 3rd and could not believe how much the card prices increased during that time period. And was waiting for the UPS driver to show up a week later so the PSA order was delivered safely.

I'm curious, for the higher end Soto collectors.

What is the 1 must own card for 800$ - 4000$ range?

Is it as simple as the 2016 Bowman base?

I consider myself in the group of serious high end Soto card collectors (not top 1-2% of you sickos that own very serious cards) but realized I am missing some very popular cards including a gold Topps Update for example. I am wondering what my next big card to buy should be in the $800 - 4K range. I don't own Sapphire 2019, 3D 2018, Topps Gold, Rainbow....

I do own many others.

In that range, I'd go for a Update SP (hands on hips) PSA 10 or Gold /2018 PSA 10

Absolutely stunning! I HAD to sell mine. I mean, I didn’t have to sell it, but I chose to sell it because too many times I sit on big cards so long, and I never get value for them. Besides, the sale of my xfractor paid for all my other Soto’s I have plus money left over, including:
