None of the four guys you mentioned would sell well at this point anyways. A fourth Tommy Lasorda Mgr. card only sold 57 less than Tim Raines, and only 284 less than the first and only Greg Maddux.

No one is going to sell well at this point other than Tatis, Acuna, Vlad and maybe Ohtani...and Pardee

The back is inspired by the music video / Jujutsu Kasien show outro "Lost In Paradise" that plays at the end of every episode. Here is a link to the original music video for it- you will notice the art style is the bold colors with scribble used on the back of the card.

Thought it would be fun and made sense for the only current two-way player to have two sides, with the front being the show intro style and the back being the outro style. Lots of hidden Jujutsu Kaisen elements, and of course the blending of Tokyo with the big A from Anaheim.

A little more broken down about making the card and the story in the video here on djskee.com if you want to see more!
Thanks for stopping by with the explanation. Could have used you for the Bad Bunny discussion, lol.

Lauren Taylor has nice PRs too. If you can break 3K on another Gwynn card and 5K on another Griffey at this point, that is impressive.

haha the Tatis one is , but in essence, Bad Bunny is Tatis' fav artist (and possibly the biggest artist on the globe right now- both are "breaking the unwritten rules" of each biz and the old guard who dislike them)- so paired it with one of his album covers that just looks incredible regardless of music tie in. Lots of hidden gems- references from other Bad Bunny albums (and the bunny in ground), license plate, bat, BMW (Tatis did a BMW commercial) his tattoo (palm tree and coordinates), and more... and the video game tie in comes from a combo of this: Bad Bunny's visuals for this album had a kid playing video games, Tatis is on the cover of MLB the Show 21 (Same image), and I hit up my friends at Xbox to make a special controller to giveaway since it is first time The Show is on Xbox and they actually made 10 we gave away to winners for fun... oh and Trevor Bauer is in background too haha

Also the playlist/show on Spotify really gets in the weeds

All of my cards will have a ton of storytelling behind them because I like to really dive deep - even on things, you won't necessarily see. Hope you guys enjoy it,

Sorry, I get confused easily...

Can I use my Topps Now rewards points to purchase Project70 cards?
I'll write the answer down this time.
Thanks,
Vinny

Thanks Big Ed, I thought that was the answer. I didn't want to put 5 cards in my cart then realize I can't.
Best Always,

I think depending how wide a net you want to cast, Trout, Soto, Griffey and Mantle belong on this short list.

But we already have too many of them. It's a near certainty we get multiple cards of all these players in the next 700 cards, regardless of my own preferences.

So, since PRs aren't going to budge too much, why don't artists make unique, creative choices instead of the same old boring repeats? It's not like they have a lot to lose. Kudos to the artists who had the guts to choose Gagne, Rizzuto, Raines, Sax, Baker, etc.

The problem is 51 artists is too much. Or should I say 51 artists doing 20 cards each is too much. Maybe have them each do 7, but then the revenue projections wouldn't be as strong. This whole project will be a great business case study.

The last Soto was sub-1000, and the last five Mantles have all been sub-2500. So yeah id say just go with the small handful of safe bets and then whomever you damn well please.

i would like to see Topps allow the contributors dip into the other franchises that Topps is allowed to make in 2021 to wrap up this debacle of a release

GPK
Soccer
UFC
Star Wars

Mix it up.

and im not talking weird like Pardee, im talking let the contributors use:

Adam Bomb
Messi
Darth Vader
etc

Small world, but I used to go to B&E when I was a kid living in Valhalla, NY. Great memories there.

I just got your Tatis p70. Solid design and love the bonus music deep dive content on the back. Keep up the great work!

With so many cards left they might as well mix it up

102 GPKs
102 Star Wars
102 UFC
102 Soccer
102 other classic non sports cards

and you could still crank out some more baseball too and wrappers as well

It’s been mostly negative on here lately but my Styles and Pardee runs are still going. Braves from other artists I’m picking up for a fraction the price elsewhere.
That said

I got my first foil EVER and it’s a good one.
Maybe they threw me a bone since I’m doing the Styles run but damn these things look great in person. Also it was my 70th card but probably just a coincidence on both.
Felt like a kid again though, not gonna lie.

Buy what you like. Hold on to what you love.
Cheers all!

Congrats on the foil! Glad it was a Styles for you. Like to see people get foils of artists or players they are actually collecting.

Steve Sax could not have been on a list of suggested players that Topps provided to the artists, correct?

I think a wrestling set would be right in his wheelhouse.
