A Devers, Mountcastle, Trea Turner, or Alvarez card are all more exciting choices than the same old characters every day. Seems like every PR is basically within 500 of each other outside of the big 5 anyway. So that's not a big factor anymore. Topps doesn't even seem to be varying the player releases. Feels like we've seen a lot of Sotos and Rickeys lately, not to mention the flood of Bo Jacksons.

Bronson Sabathia is the only interesting card of the day. The rest are pretty routine and nothing to get excited for, but also not objectionable.

No idea but this set needs her. Her player list isn't the same as everyone else's. She has Devers, Manny, Sosa, Vlad all coming up. I know....Manny and Sosa were cheaters, but don't tell me some of these other guys that have 25+ cards were all clean. They weren't.

What does a CC auto normally go for? I guess he's going into the hof, but he feels more like a compiler than one of the best of his generation to me.

Topps blew it, but the circumstances surrounding the pandemic resulted in a unique environment for Project 2020 to flourish. That level of success is impossible with Project70.

4 cards a day is a lot to process [and a lot to buy]. I don't have a good answer for this because we're only 1/3 through the set as it is! But for most of Project 2020 we got 2 a day, so every card was in the spotlight instead of potentially getting "lost in the mix."

So back to spirit. I for one shall continue to celebrate, criticize, discuss and enjoy this set and what we dream it to be, and buy the cards I want. That might be the best any of us can do.

Action Bronson CC is weird and exactly what I've come to expect. I don't care for it, end of story.

The Soto is ok but kind of a bland card with the gray borders. Like Kyle Lewis yesterday, there's a lot of green on this card.

The Futura Clemente is another boring card. I suppose it's fine as a work of art but I'm not excited by it at all.

The Henderson is actually good to me, it's wild and intense and captures Rickey well. But another Rickey Henderson, really? This goes on my maybe list, similar interest level to yesterday's Chang Trout.

Somewhere between 0-2 of the first 8 of the week for me.

I'm guessing very few of you were fans of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central. But for those of you who did watch, the Bronson Sabathia has to at least make you think of Threatdown: Bears (Godless killing machines), right? I'm angry I couldn't get an auto version for the price of the base and will buy this one for $4-8 from a foil chaser.

I guess with CC it could just be I'm biased towards his last 7 seasons which weren't good. 60-59 4.33 ERA ERA+ of 98. He was mediocre, but I guess like a lot of hof, those stats are what pushes him over the line.

Futura's player list is very interesting. No current players. Probably the safest bet for anyone trying to collect an artist set of non-PED guys.

Based on some of what she's said on Twitter it seems like she's had a lot of projects going on outside of Project70, so just a busy time for her. Good news is we are getting her 6th card tomorrow according to her last update on it.

So far I am 2 for 8 this week, continuing my unpopular Vides and Bronson sets.

For those doing the Futura puzzle, for his Clemente it looks like the left panel is the middle panel from his Vida Blue card and the right panel matches the left panel of his Ernie Banks card.

The center panel may be new to the set.
