Yep, and I think the separation is only going to widen.

Baseball collectors are split between flagship and chrome, but folks coming in from other sports want *chromium* cards (and refractors)!

Prizm, Optic, Select, and Topps Chrome!

Lower supply + higher demand = ??? something... I'll have to look again in my old econ textbooks from college

Paper will always have a solid place in all this. But the new money, the ones that are making this market fly to the moon, prefer shiny/chrome/refractor/prizm cards! Therefore, Chrome wins this battle. But does it win the war? TBD.

I agree that paper will always carry value, but the fact that Chrome has always been seen as the upper-tier version of a card will help it out. Also, as long as the chrome PSA 10 population remains roughly half the paper, it will win the war.

The interesting wrinkle in this battle is guys whose Chrome cards don't match their iconic Flagship image, like Acuña. (Obviously he has the Chrome Sapphire, but we're talking the average collector and base cards here.)

Fire sale got down to $279 today. I was ready to buy at $269. Wonder if sellers are reconsidering this feature. Could have priced that below recent sales and come out ~$20+ ahead.

Might end up a better feature for buyers than sellers.

Finally had a chance to scan everything that just came back. Most of the stuff just came back this time, but some stuff was graded previously.
