Thankful I'm not invested into him now. Best of luck to those that are in some deep cotton.

The ESPN article said he wanted to be in the lineup today. I appreciate the competitiveness but 14 year contract, hope he figures a balance of being aggressive and smart to maximize his career.
Was going after a color chrome auto, was high bidder but it got taken down, frustrating but I get it. As a Padres fan I care more about him being healthy and on the field helping the team win rather than what happens to his card prices.

If he actually does need surgery in the offseason just get it done now.

It’ll be a interesting test of his market to see the how much of dip his cards take during this time.

90% of reactions:
Injury is serious and he is shelfed for the season: Dude is toast, career over. Injury doesnt require surgery yet, 10D IL: Rushing him back dude is toast, career over. Me: Glad it isnt confirmed he is done for the year. Rest him longer than 10 days if it doesnt look 100%, get him at least 1 day a week off, and try to get a solid 100-120 games this year and help SDP make a playoff run then get it fixed in the offseason if he doesnt re-injure himself. |

RIP in peace Eloy Jimenez and Fernando Tatis. Gone but not forgotten, two beacons in a sea of darkness

He just needs to play 130 a year, season is too long anyway, I’m bored already.

I heard from a very reliable source at Sea World, that Tatis was swimming laps with the killer whales last night. Lost his left foot but should be good to go for next weekends games. To the Moon?

You shouldn’t be allowed to post here about injury stuff unless you’ve made at least ten posts since the offseason. These new jabronis are really annoying.

I think the issue is people were buying his cards like he was a locked HOF'er in the making. Finding out he has a long term shoulder issue that reasonably should require surgery is not thrilling news to guys spending 4-5 figures on a young guys cards. Fears that he might have to change his swing and all that means for power numbers are going to make some folks squeamish.
This is why I dislike it when we keep inflating the card values on dudes who have had little to no MLB experience. You never know what will happen til they take the field consistently. I hope he is ok, regardless he signed a monster contract so his family is set for life (not like they weren't already). But for the guys who are super heavy into this player I hope he finds a way to stay on the field and productive with some consistency. |

What is everyone wearing to the 10ish Day Funeral? Have not been to one this big since Superman in the 90s.
