I think it has to do more with where you are from...I was born and raised a few miles from the OG In-N-Out in Baldwin Park and love it. When I moved to Texas, and In-N-Out opened here, all of the natives unanimously chose Whataburger as the better burger.

I just think it's silly to make declarative statements like this (burger, player, whatever) is better than another because it is mostly preference at the end of the day.

He probably eats In-n-Out like once a year anyway

Agreed, which is why Dick’s Drive-in is better! In-N-Out to me is a good regional hamburger chain in a country with lots of them.

I refuse to believe, deep down, Texans really think Whataburger makes a superior hamburger. I’ve lived in Texas and California for over a decade and I know how each state is very culty about their respective burger joints (Texans in general also have an animosity towards all things California, especially ever since they started invading by the thousands). I love Whataburger (huuuge drinks, chicken strips w country gravy, a #13 iirc), but their burger is trash compared to In n Out. No comparison. I lived in Austin and there are far better burgers to be found than In n Out, but Whataburger isn’t one of them.

I will say though, that California In N Out tastes different than Texas In N Out, despite their best attempts at quality control.

Not to derail this thread from the burger conversation, haha, but what does everyone think are the odds of Sho getting dealt in the off-season? I'm sure it will be a bitter pill for the Angels org to swallow, but I just do not see any way he's going to re-sign with them, and unless my math is wrong they have exactly ONE prospect in the MLB top 100...at some point they need to face reality and embrace the inevitable rebuild...just hope they don't waste another year of his career just because breaking up is hard to do.

Why does it feel like we have been rebuilding for 20 years...

Artie is already on record as not wanting to be the guy who traded away Sho, so my money is they finish this contract next year, and he walks away.

Trading him next season would be a strategic move, and well, my hometown team just doesn't seem to do those things.

Shohei would be smart to demand a trade at the conclusion of the season. He needs to bet on himself and go to a competitive organization who will appreciate him.

I honestly don't see him playing on the Angels next season. Especially if Mike Trout decides to leave the game of baseball altogether and retire (which is a very real possibility given his rare back condition)

Two In-N-Out 3x3s protein style, or 3 2x2s, can't beat that.

Oh it's far from over. With Ohtani pitching five days rest, he's easily going to break 200Ks. If he keeps his era under 3.00 with 30+ homers, Judge would need to hit 62 to fend him off. As of right now, he isn't on pace to get there

I cant imagine what his prices would be if he was doing this at age 23-24 instead of 27-28

I would love to see his numbers if he had any protection at all in a lineup. Do we see Judge having close to his numbers this year if batted in a lineup this poor?

Man…… what a dumpsterfire of a team, cant wait until he’s on a real squad. They should contract the Angels, no one would care.

OPS is so close to 900. We haven't had a real big Sho-bat hot streak. A 7-8 game stretch being hot at the plate like 2021 and the race gets more and more interesting.
