The blog of a product distributor absolves the largest manufacturer of the products it distributes from responsibility for defects found in one of those products??? Up is down and down is up. I just don't know what to believe anymore.

Prescott & Panini will get together and agree to not throw each other under the bus. If they even address the issue and cast blame... they come up with a scapegoat to take the fall... then tell the public that they're taking appropriate measures to ensure nothing like that ever happens again.

When the dust clears, Panini will continue of releasing more crap after crap. It won't be long before they start hand-numbering old base cards & trying to pass it off as some ultimate buyback collection.

This is very disturbing and I'm glad to see it has received national attention!

I find it hard to believe that these slipped through quality control and Panini had no knowledge whatsoever, this situation is only going to cast additional doubt on an industry that has already been in question.

I have not purchased a Panini product in over 5 years, but I mainly stopped because I was not fond of their designs. I most certainly will not purchase any of their products going forward not that it will matter much.

Exclusivity is the very death of this hobby!!

Not sure how you can say it's 100% on Panini. If Dak wasn't a lazy c@#* to begin with, there would be no issue.

It was the true RPA redemptions that weren't being pulled. Auto patch inserts were pulled early.

IIRC, Teddy Bridgewater RPAs were not being pulled as well.

This is will be good excuse.

Dak's company recently purchase an auto pen machine to autograph the massive amount of fan mail and TTM cards he has been receiving. Dak didn't have time to personally autograph each, but he still wanted to give back instead of ignoring the fan mail and TTM cards. Dak recently heard that many celebrities used an autopen machine to help with the massive amount of mail and figured it was a common practice. There was a miscommunication between Dak and his representative in charge of auto penning the fan mail and TTM card. Dak's representative mistakenly and without Daks knowledge auto pen Panini License NFL cards. He sorry.

When the case isnt so, we put that blame on Panini, who in turn puts that back on Dak. It will always circle back to the intial player that did not do what they were suppose to do by contract.
Panini is at fault by NOT NOTICING that all the auto's were EXACTLY THE SAME. You have to have QC to catch this. You would have to have been blind to miss this. DAK and PANINI are both responsible for this. DAK was lazy and Panini just sent them out because: 1-QC sucks that bad or 2-they hoped it would pass and no body would notice. I think #1 is the answer.

Panini has issued a statement:

Apparently Dak and his representatives have no idea how the cards were returned to Panini.

"Panini America executives and quarterback Dak Prescott met on Thursday to investigate in detail a limited quantity of Prescott-autographed trading cards that were issued as redemptions for Panini America’s 2016 NFL Prizm trading card product.

Last week, after being contacted by an autograph authenticator and following an internal quality control process, Panini America officials determined that a small quantity of Prescott autographs received for 2016 Prizm Football may not be authentic.

As an immediate precaution, Panini America began recalling all Prizm Football Dak Prescott autograph cards, stopping deliveries to 110 customers. Not all shipments were able to be recalled, however, and 167 cards were ultimately delivered to customers.

It was also discovered that some of Prescott’s Prizm cards are still unaccounted for. Panini has committed to remanufacturing all the Dak Prescott Prizm Football cards, which Dak will sign to replace all the autograph cards within the Prizm collection. All the remanufactured cards for the Prizm collection autographed by Prescott will feature a special Dak Prescott hologram to differentiate the new cards.

Panini is in the process of contacting the remaining customers affected and recalling the 2016 Prizm Football Prescott redemption cards to replace them. The company urges anyone offered a Dak Prescott autographed card not featuring the special hologram to contact Panini America immediately.

On Thursday, Prescott and Panini America agreed to a long-term extension on his exclusive autographed trading card agreement to commit to delivering quality and authentic products to collectors. Prescott has autographed thousands of Panini America trading cards during his rookie season, has participated in multiple authenticated signing sessions and received additional card shipments throughout the year and returned them to Panini America to be incorporated into products. Prescott and his representatives have worked closely with Panini during this process since becoming aware of the discrepancies and have no knowledge of how those cards were returned to Panini."

Well, they stopped 110 from being delivered. They know who these people were and will be in touch.

They know who the other 167 are as well and they will be contacted by Panini is how I read it.

They are trying to make everyone whole. It's a start.

Yea, it's been deleted. Maybe they re-thought the whole no one knows how they were returned, which was a stretch lol.

Anyway, trusty screenshot of the original post.
