Albies and Frazier are two more that could be added to the list for 2018. If the NYY don't pick up Stanton, I'd guess Frazier would be a lot more valuable right now. Agree that the 2018 rookies are the deepest RC class in many years just on talent.

Had pack wars at the shop last night and a Red 1983 Mark Mcgwire 1/5 Auto was hit. Sweet card for sure.

Pulled a 1983 Garrett Cooper 1/1 auto super refractor from a silver pack - any sense at all what that might be worth

When you figure it out, please LMK what you're looking for on it! Thanks!

I don’t know if this will help at all, but I paid $300 for the Javy Baez auto super, and a Rizzo and a couple other established stars went for $400-500, as I recall. But that was closer to drop, and before all the money started chasing Heritage Hypetani.

Thank you for the insight - this board is great because of quick/polite answers to possibly stupid questions that I have. Lol

I'm open to trades. I like heritage autos. This was my first 1/1 super refactor so it has sentimental value now. LOL

It’s called a superfractor not a super refractor if you decide to eBay it.

Not too many people on here accuse me of being polite, so thanks for that.

It’s not a stupid question. Supers and any other really desireable 1/1s are tough to gauge, as values can range really wildly depending on so many unpredictable factors. I’m sure lots of folks would laugh at me for paying that much for Baez, but to me, that was a solid deal. (Ask was $400, FWIW.).

Those ‘83 chromes are really nice looking, and I think they will have a following for quite a while, so I could see a super of a promising young prospect going for well over $500 to the right person in the right market circumstances. But if you put it up for auction now starting at $0.99, it might struggle to clear $150. Just hard to tell.

Got it - thank you - good to know. Never dealt with one before and never been in the market before.

Centering on this one so I'm tempted to see how it looks in a slab

Quick question on value, I recently got back into the hobby after 20+ years off and have quickly become addicted.

I pulled a 1 of 1 Rhys Hoskins Superfractor 1983 insert and at the suggestion of my LCS owner, I listed it on eBay. I am mainly selling that and my 1 of 50 Ohtani Heritage Auto to finance buying more packs/hobby boxes, however I have no idea what the Hoskins is worth.

To make matters more complicated, I've never sold on eBay before and I am getting offers for it but have no idea what to negotiate back price wise, so any insight would be appreciated!

A card like the Super Hoskins is hard to put a price on. I list everything at auction.. $.99 and let it ride.

That's what I ended up doing. The guy who owns my LCS just suggested that I quickly put it up as he doesn't recommend holding and that it could go for $700-$900. There weren't a lot of sold Superfractors that I saw to even compare it to so I am pretty clueless. Thanks for the advice though!

Do we know yet if the chrome refractors will look like crap again with no borders?

Most likely wont look as good as they could if they had borders.

Which is why I wish Topps would put borders back on the set.

Just noticed that prices seem back to normal now for Series 1. Case of hobby at $510 but there are no silver packs now either. And no Ohtani. But this may be my go to if I go to the National and get some redemption packs!
