Yes. Pink weighs more than purple but not as much green.

We are all wrong on here from time to time, it's not a big deal. I'm sure you've been spot on alot of products or singles, this one you just happened to miss the mark, it happens. No need to make it look like your ego can't handle that.
I already said I was wrong about the immediate return. It turned out to be worth the gamble to flip quickly.

But please stop pretending this was a no brainer when most didn’t put their. money where their mouth is now. Nobody passes up guaranteed returns. You balance the risk of taking on the product with the benefit you think it might yield. No shame in that.

I agree, but the term no brainer is subjective, no? I bought 70 boxes of this, my normal purchase would of been 10 or so. In my mind, it was a no brainer to go long on it, but my cash isn't infinite obviously.

How many cases did you buy?
I have 180 boxes coming. Didn’t go through the mlb store for cases though unfortunately. I will most likely buy a bunch more once the masses of boxes hit the market if there is an appropriate dip.

Would it have been different if I opened a whole case of logofractor instead?

Of course, he would be praising me but glad I just took out another sealed case from the logofractor market to help increase the scarcity of his sealed holdings, of course.

No brainer to me implies a play you are willing to go all in on.

When these were on sale, if you had told me I’d be able to take $20k and make a $7k profit after taxes in just two weeks, I would have taken it. It would be crazy not to. But the reality is nothing is guaranteed. The Julio SP could have opened at $900. They could all be horribly off center. The image could have been a horizontal throwing. All of that would have depressed box prices from where they are now, and you could not have predicted any of that.

I just think it’s dangerous to claim anything is a no brainer in the hobby today. Look what happened with Topps Chrome. Brios actually had a very logical argument for why the product could be a home run, yet it still flopped for reasons out of his control. This isn’t FOTL circa 2018. It’s not 2018 Optic mega cases in fall 2019 where it was impossible to lose. Look no further than the poor guy who ripped his 40 box case that had ZERO SPs and ZERO Wander base. Defies the odds, but that’s the gamble you take.

I believe I was the first person to claim this was a clear winner in the thread (could be wrong, but I was pretty early). You really think I didn't put my money where my mouth is?

I ordered 4 boxes on day one and 6 more the following day. The first 4 arrived today and I cracked them while working from home doing job training

Base: Wander Franco

Logofractor: Shane Bieber Plaque, Shane Bieber Green Auto (same pack); Aaron Judge Pink.

Still deciding what I want to do with the remaing 6 that are coming tomorrow.

Why not buy more than 10 if it was a no brainer? Maybe that’s all in for you. I don’t know, I don’t care. All I know is that if I had felt the way you guys are claiming you did, I would have been in for however many cases the MLB store would have let me buy.

I told you before I’m a treasure hunter. There’s really nothing I would keep in my PC in topps chrome this year, or any year for that matter, so I don’t really break the product often. I like on card auto patches.

I find the higher end products have better yield for the price with less bulk to deal with, all my best pulls have been from high end products. It’s really tough to pull something good out of a mass produced product like topps chrome.

Cost of wax is all relative, isn’t it?
So the cost-basis of the card was $380 to you. How much did you sell it to your friend? Regardless, congratulations flipperboi!!

100%. My normal purchase would've been 10-20 boxes had it not been a no-brainer.

All In, No Brainer = You buy as many as humanly possible! You find ways to secure more. You have your family members buying. I see maybe one BO member did that.

Opened 2 of 10 boxes so far and got a purple Wander in box 2. Box 1 was rough. I’ll post the hits from all 10 when I get through them.

Tough look when the people who were down on this product have shifted to shaming people for calling it a 'no brainer' yet not buying a 1/4th of the print run to justify it. You were wrong. Get over it.

It’s not a tough look at all. Two separate issues at hand. I was wrong about the immediate flip. You are lying about thinking it was a no brainer. I’ll take being wrong over being a liar.

Thanks. Next box was a Freddie Freeman superfractor 1/1 auto. Needless to say I like this product.

Times have certainly been tough for some.

Topps screwed some of its biggest customers & hobbyist in general w/ TC, but all was forgiven because they brought something newer and shiner to the table for cheap. If people are going to call for no brainer, all-in...they need to put their money where there mouth is. 10 boxes isn't even note worthy.

this is the part that bothers me most.

you can tell who is using topps for money vs who is collecting

I bought 10 boxes only because this was exclusive to the NY MLB store and on Topps.com. Can ever go wrong with exclusive products.

Maybe 10 boxes or $550 isn't "putting your money where your mouth is" for you, but for some people it is

We can't all be hobby legends like SupermanBrandon or KhalDrogo with multi million dollar card portfolios and always being right, even when we're wrong

I commented it was a gift from Topps in the first day or two, I'm not sure when or where I specifically called it a no brainer. Like I said before, 'No Brainer' is subjective term. It could mean entirely different things to people anyhow.

I would appreciate it if you did not call me a liar. Especially when comparing yourself to me in an effort to save face about a product release. We all know you were wrong, we get it.
