Geez, don't look at the ebay box listings/sold. I'm sure the big 3 will price them slightly above what has sold.

$200+ boxes incoming.

Yup. They set the market price on this and the hysteria to buy from Topps directly. Them, steel city and Dave and Adam’s.

All I show is blasters now. Oh well. 1:45 minutes of trying, so congrats to those that got in.

edit : No blasters either now.

Was able to snag 9 blasters. Had zero luck getting any kind of hobby boxes, but over the past week have 30 blaster boxes incoming from various platforms at $25 each. No complaints here

After waiting for over a hour and a half I was able to get 100 blasters. I would prefer hobby but this should be a fun day breaking with my son and nephew.

Are you suggesting the Sherman Act was designed to keep companies from selling their product direct to consumer? I'm pretty sure no provision of the Act requires a middle man.

Agreed - I don't think there is much debate that hobby is still the superior format (especially at MSRP); however, getting all the blasters at retail price feels good.

Agreed, not sure what the tipping point is regarding the price point for hobby, but it very quickly stops making sense to buy and break after very much of a markup.

I think the suckers are anyone paying secondary market prices on these. The folks that snagged boxes during the drop today will have no issues.

No, I’m suggesting by changing the model and cutting out the LCS they are arguably monopolizing the distribution which could be considered unfair.

They are allowed to monopolize distribution of their own product. That's not a violation of the Sherman Act.

This is very true. With new chrome parallels coming in 2025 Heritage, Topps just got another reason to up the price.

"more hits, more value"

10x the parallels and 10x the price!

Here's the target link for blasters:

Yeah, yeah. If you’re going to start using facts…

I’m not a real attorney, I just stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

That was my thought. Topps was selling at a respectable price. We might be suckers for thinking we could ALL get some, but the real ones are people who pay that insane markup elswhere.

Funny thing is - Topps probably has hundreds of cases they are sitting on that were never pre-sold. Once the market is established at ~$200 a box, those will go on sale to shops and breakers at $200 a box.

Yep, me too on the UK website. I just have to remind myself now that I can complete the base set at a fraction of the cost of buying boxes
