It's really starting to bottom out this past fortnight with the Playoffs on.

Luka probably still a bit high. But dropping nicely.

Might start buying up those 9s at $50 and then cracking and resubbing to PSA to get some cheap 10s.

I'm absolutely picking some up in the offseason. I don't care how much further they can drop if my buy-in is a half tank of premium octane.

This makes me even more discombobulated on the premiums placed on sealed wax. Complete disconnect if the absolute top hits you can pull are maybe 3-5x the price of a hobby box.

I agree 100% with that last part. Sealed NT boxes go for around $6k and up which is insane given how low the Zion RPA seems to be falling. Wax prices are just stupid. Giant disconnect between the price of singles and the price of the correlated wax.

I truly believe they're just a giant lagging indicator right now. Feels like a massive bubble waiting to pop. I get the novelty of looking at them as a completely separate investment entity not entirely tied to the individual contents contained within.

But let's keep it a buck:

Nobody's going to pay massive premiums for early 90's sealed. Checklists and potential ROI should absolutely be driving forces. If there's no massive upside in the potential contents, then why should the massive premium exist?

It's like paying $500 for a standard Powerball ticket. You're losing your pants unless you're the 0.0004% that hit a top 3 prize.

I don't think he got fat before this injury... just an unfortunate hamstring pull... wasn't really even pushing it.

That being said, I'm losing my patience with this guy. I'm officially calling him a bust if he doesn't play 65+ games next season.

Holy crap, just saw that Zion Prizm PSA 10s are now sub $70...wow. I know there are 20,000 of them, but it's a little barometer of where things are at.

I bought 22 of them way back when, I'm into them for about $500 each

In all seriousness, his stuff is getting really really low. Considering a guy like Tatum is at $200, if Zion gets low enough he might be worth the risk vs. reward of a double or triple up. I mean it's a long shot because he does kind of look like he's going to take the Greg Oden path at this point, but might be worth 5k to turn to 15 or 20...

barring a detailed explanation post from Tallboy (like over in the '23 MVP thread, as to whether anyone definitely deserves MVP over Yoker, where I'm not sold), it passes the most valuable poster eye test, although jtcardstore isn't far behind, not at all. Gaining ground quick, better up your game ninja (try insulting/antagonizing other posters/player-fans, that seems to work great)

Man I cannot believe the last orange ice rc PSA 10 sold for sub 300 on ebay lol, I was getting 700 for raw when they first dropped. I should have sold mine when I could have got $1500 lol.
