I feel those of us that come to this thread the most are now the most powerful on this entire forum.

Others who hate Mahomes won't get this magical formula and will be reduced to downloading apps and browser extensions. HAHA....ha ha.

One drawback is I don't believe this will show the correct price if the seller makes an offer via contact email. I am not 100% sure, but I have caught that being off before.

Frankly, I was surprised it took as long as it did. Obviously, the field levels took off long ago, but the population on the Select base 103 is so much lower than Prizm and Optic base cards (only 278 PSA 10s). I don't see any reason why they shouldn't trade at parity or at a premium to the Optic base (which has 1,633 PSA 10s, and is going to continue to climb rapidly). The Optic brand probably carries a bit more cache, but the significantly lower population of the Select 103 should buoy its value longer term.

1) The three tiers that confuse a lot of people
2) The Prizm written on every card that year whether it was a silver or not. And of course half the ebay listing say Silver Prizm that aren't.

Said this on 4/24. Purchased a tri color and a silver and no more. Should have listened to myself and bought more

What are the "three tiers" you are referencing? I'm only aware of Premier and Field Level for Mahomes, unless you are referencing the variations to these two tiers such as silver, tri color, copper, etc. Perhaps Concourse is the third tier you are referencing, though Mahomes didn't have a Concourse right? The issue you noted in #2 is certainly frustrating and takes a trained eye to ensure you are getting a true silver refractor, though it seems the market has figured this out given the clear pricing disparity.

Yes the three tiers are Concourse, Premier and Field Level. Obviously Mahomes didn't have a Concourse but that's one reason a lot of people don't like Select.

I don't think the market has figured out #2 at all. The issue is that it's very simple to make a base look like a Silver with all the filters that people use. The only reason that a lot of them sell is that the buyers know they can return them. I've seen countless sellers try to pawn off base as Silvers and I'm sure plenty of them succeed. Casual collectors will see the Prizm on the back and have no idea they were duped. I've bought Optic Holos where base were sent and Select is much more difficult to tell the difference. However, graded ones are definitely increasing rapidly since it is obvious what the card is.

Raw Orange Prizm really looks like nice in person. I already own two graded Orange Prizms, so I am leaning towards not grading this and keeping it raw.

Haha, I ended my Orange prizm BGS 9.5 already in the B/S/T section. I still have it on ebay and only way it will be sold is if someone hits the BIN. I will reassess in summer

I bought this card from the guy that pulled it from a box earlier this year. I bought it mid-season for $1800 and thought it was a great steal. Auctioned it off like two weeks after the Super Bowl and it sold for $1700 lol. Like others have said, never been a huge fan of diecuts personally, but I do think that anything good and refractory is a solid bet in the long run. Nice pick up.

I have to believe with all my heart we will have a season. They have plenty of time to figure out every contingency possible.

Then the questions becomes if they play with or without fans. If they play the season with no fans, get ready for some major price increases in the football card market. All those dollars that were to be spent on tickets and concessions will flow to other places. One of those I would think is the card market....

i stopped collecting football in 2015 and transitioned to basketball. I was going through an old 5 row looking for Brady and found a rookie prizm silver mahomes. I never thought I had any mahomes since I stopped buying football. I guess I bought one box of prizm out of boredom or something. Pretty stoked with the find!
