As for the Barnes / Mobley thing… I’ve been pumping Barnes since FSU it was obvious that he was a prototype NBA star player and had the work ethic and good attitude to achieve that.

Barnes is sort of like the yin to Draymonds yang. Draymond is much better defensively but has the point forward high IQ type game and Barnes has the same point forward type heady game but he’s significantly better offensively.

The main difference offensively between the 2 (Barnes / Mobley) is that Barnes can handle the ball well in transition and half court and create his own shot. Since offense drives the hobby Barnes is the guy to buy.

As for defensively, Barnes is above average because of his size/build but his footwork isn’t great (flat footed too often when being taken off the dribble) and he’s not really able to guard 5s. He’s really limited to 2-4.

Mobley is on track to be the best defensive player in the NBA. He’s an elite defender everywhere on the floor and the captain of the defense. JB has been playing a pseudo zone where Mobley just floats in the middle moving to where he’s needed
Considering how competitive of a slate it was yesterday, it was amazingly quiet, possibly because:
-Mavs lost and Luka had a slow night
-Westbrook made of the of the clutch plays of the year to help the Lakers win
-Denver lost a game in which they had a double digit lead
-Grizzlies lost to a Trae and Collins-less Hawks

A lot of internet outages last night.

In other news: LeBron Questionable for today, but if he plays, he's likely to pass Karl Malone as #2 on the all time list.

Wish the league would broadcast this nationally. It'll be a loooonng time before we see this again.

Think he’d rather do it monday in Cleveland.

No NCAA tourney games to take the news and he can do it in the place where it all started.

Just a kid from Akron.

I didn’t know whether to be disappointed or proud of the forum. It was an odd spot.

lol idk why any time the Nuggets lose a single game I'm supposed to comment on it.

Wife was sick so I didn't watch much and didn't get home from work until 9ish anyway. I saw the 4th+OT of Nuggs/Cavs, it was an exciting game. Nuggs offense really hurts when Morris isn't out there - very good evidence of that at the end of regulation when nobody could even run through the motions to help Jokic out. Bones has really improved since the beginning of the year, but he's not there yet. He's the 3rd stringer once Murray and MPJ are back - which should be next week.

Lauri was really impressive last night - big growth from his Chicago days. Mobley was impressive in OT. Overall Cavs played a good game and tightened up in OT when they needed to.

And thought it was funny Hawks "pulled a Ja" and won without Trae, and did it against Ja.

This is so lame but it’s probably true.

I think Cade will get to that level eventually. He doesn’t have much help around him right now. The Pistons need a big man who is versatile. This draft has a few guys like that.

When has a Rooke won ROY being 5th in scoring and 9th in assists?

It probably has never happened.
Mobley winning would be a joke.
He had a good start and has been passed by.

Cade averaging 22.6/7.8/6.4 last 10 games.
Gap will only get bigger as the season goes along.

Barnes has the same stats.
Giddey will soon pass them both.

Yes it is. But with how premeditated Lebron and his gang have been with things off (and on) the court, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

And he’ll never forget the people in Ohio who trashed him when he went to Miami.

This was a very necessary comment to kick someone when they're down

Wouldn't expect any less from a Philly fan

Not my fault you're too emotional/stupid to actually read posts. I can't be bothered with you anymore after that.
I'm going to spoon feed this to you. Bite-sized. I never said anything about anyone talking or not talking about Orlando. Talk about whatever you want (ideally with a modicum of respect, as you would with anyone not a computer screen away).

See post below. Somehow you interpreted my glee for my home team getting a W as me caring whether or not Orlando fans get to experience victory. Why would I or anyone else care about the opposing team's fans?

Philly fans, man...
Do you go around trying to cheer people up when their team loses to Orlando? If so, maybe I mistook your charity for incessant negativity, and I really am too emotional and stupid to keep up. I might have to go back to the drawing board.

So classy, wonder why people dislike Philly fans.
But I don't bet very much/more than I can afford so it's definitely not a concern for me...

Spoon feed yet still don't show the whole story..?
When Philly played Orlando there were two of us Magic fans talking about the game and very little other conversation (save Khal making one negative comment about Philly). You decided to say:

What in the world. Mason Plumlee has been struggling so he started shooting foul shots left handed. That's different.

Agreed! So much of his antics are non basketball related.

I’m surprised that no one has clocked him by now. It would be worth the fine.

Congrats to LeBron. I tuned in to see it and after hitting three 3's in a row (to tie Malone) only then did Washington really try to defend him which was slightly amusing.
Hoped it'd be by a big dunk or something but was a nice cut and finish.

Let the countdown to Kareem being.

This a record that's been standing for over 30 years.

-Before MJ was a champion
-Before Giannis was born
-Before McGwire hit #62
-Before Marino passed Fran Tarkington in Touchdowns
-Before Emmitt passed Payton in yards
-Before Gretzky passed Howe in goals

Love LeBron or hate him, I hope the NBA does this right.

Tough loss for the Pistons tonight. But Jerami Grant with 40 points the game after Saddiq Bey had 51.

Given the team play and defense oriented history of the Pistons I have to think that’s the first time in team history with back to back 40 point games. Let alone by 2 different players. Kinda cool.

I'll say this... This upcoming draft is important for them.

They have some nice pieces that could start to come together if they get a real solid franchise shooting guard or center.

Yeah. I’m hoping they get Jabari Smith but I honestly haven’t followed the other top prospects that much. Bagley was very bad tonight but I still would like them to re-sign him at the right price.
