He had 3 mega boxes! I had to buy all of them. Paid market value

How much do we think these get after Call up or majors success?

i can see them being a 100 a box personally i bought a sealed 16 box case the other day and will hold

Excuse my probably stupid question, but how much were these boxes at Wal-Mart or Target? And were they the only retail stores that carried them?

IMO when you combine acuna/ohtani affect, plus all the other judges vlads Benny’s in this, plus the looks and the rarity of he product, the current market value is low

Yah not really sure why you would buy for $59 to try and resell The chances of hitting an Otani or Acuna are very slim I opened 12 and hit no Otanis and 1 base Acuna

I agree. Honestly odds are low to pull these two. Out if my latest rip of 80 boxes got 6 acunas a 5 Otanis. Luckily I paid about $38-40 avg/box

These were safe at $15-30 at $30-40 i would buy buy dont expect to come out ahead unless you pull a nice colored Ohtani.. at $45-55 Buy a couple for fun/luck
$60+ not a chance unless Acunas base is $100+ and so is Ohtanis
Currently its about Acuna $50, Ohtani $90

100 mega cards per set. Are any of them short printed? Some say yes, some say no. I don't believe we really know. 8 Mega cards per box, 9 if one is lucky enough to get color. 8 divided into 100 equals 12 1/2. One card of each every 12 1/2 boxes on average. Looks to me like your pull was about average!

I would have to say 2011 Topps value boxes. 14.99 at target and walmart. Had the giveaway codes that sold for a couple bucks a piece. Plenty of trouts. Came with 3 exclusive Harpers, and two Hobby Bowman Chrome Packs which were loaded.

Those holding mega boxes are taking a big risk IMO. The Ohtani is only going to lose value, IMO. He has new cards coming out almost weekly. We all know how these things go, look at the Yu Darvish WBC card from (I think 2009?) that was so hot, and now it can be had for nothing.

Beyond Acuna, I don't see anyone else making a HUGE impact because this isn't the 1st chrome for most of the other guys. In order for the product to increase in value, someone would have to get into the $40-50+ range, and I just don't see it.

Right now is your ideal window, because Ohtani's value is still decent and Acuna hype is crazy. Wait 2+ months and I hardly see a scenario where these gain enough value to make money.

There’s also some good autos to be pulled from those boxes . I just can’t bring myself to pay 60 for a box . I’d rather take the 60 and buy a acuna and a senzel .

The Ohtani mega box card is nothing now that he has 100 different rookies and autos.

It was only a thing when it was his only card.

Sure it still has value, but with each new product that offers new rookies and autos of him, the more the mega box card is an afterthought.

Also it doesn't picture him in a big league (Angels) uniform. That can only hurt the card further.

A lot of pump comments and a lot of dump comments... the have's and the have not's

I like this stuff, always have. Even non-1st cards have a lot of value. It's a refractor, they are all refractors, and that kind of shiny gets to people. (I be one of em') Slab them in a PSA 10 and the money rises dramatically. I really like how they pared down the size of the prospects for this set.

Hopefully something this year in retail becomes a really solid buy.
