I remember in December 2019 they did the Holiday Pack Party but you could choose your sport and only cost like $100 each. I forget the exact packs I ripped but they were good. Although I did think the 17-18 Prizm Value/Cello packs were resealed. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

Those were awesome.

It was 200 a box but also 20 packs and you got field access which had a guaranteed hit for fb. I bought 4 of them for Christmas day opening and loved it. My four were okay but nothing special.

That's my biggest fear, that this will be loaded to the gills of retail packs.

Found my e-mail.

I got three basketball ones for $120 each.

20-25 packs each.

So are they just opening boxes they can't sell and dumping those packs knowing it will force a lot of people to open them as selling packs will be very hard?

So, all that is guaranteed is 10 packs at what amounts to $30 each? Yikes, and good luck to those who buy it!

I won’t preorder this year, because if it’s like last year there will be plenty available. They did sell out last year but it took almost the entire show to sell out. Odds are I’ll buy 1 or 2 at the National. I shouldn’t, but I know I will.

You guys act like there are any boxes they could put in this for $300 to make it worthwhile. You want a bunch of blasters?

I think what ruffled feathers last year was the glut of retail product in the boxes that wasn’t pictured or mentioned in the solicitation.

Each year as we are planning on promotions for the National we take into account a bunch of factors including feedback from prior years when building our MegaMix product.
This years product was challenging due to the current state of the market.
We felt the price point $300 would be affordable to all and offer an opportunity to "sample"
the most sought after retail, hobby and exclusive items.
Inserted randomly throughout the product includes 100's of transcendent VIP party packs, sapphire packs, autographs of past present and future HOFers, autographed memorabilia.
We included boxes of some of the most iconic wax including Lebron and Kobe Topps Chrome.
Blowoutcards swag to be included in every case and random to box buyers.

More details to come as we approach the National in Atlantic City.

We welcome all feedback ideas and suggestions please email those to Fish@blowoutcards.com

Looking forward to seeing you all at the NSCC

Thanks

Have bought quite a few of them in past years. Last year the ppl at our LCS bought a total of 20 Megas. This year I don't think anyone is getting any.

It's gotten to be more and more retail filler and less stuff to get excited about.

Would help to know what the break down is...what are the odds of pulling a 2003 Topps Chrome? How many of those boxes are being put into the product?

More info and transparency would go a long way.

Has potential to be a hit again if BO does it right.

It's all about the 1:3 memorabilia and bonus box big hits . Houdini opened a bunch of these last year and they were quite fun.

What kind of memorabilia have they put into the boxes? Worth $300?

Fish,

Last year was bad, but at least we were able to salvage some of the losses by selling the unopened retail garbage boxes (some of which probably made their way back to you). This year with packs instead of boxes, people will not even be able to sell sealed.

I bought 6 last year at the $500 price point and opened maybe 5% of the product that was in there.

This year I'd rather buy a scratch off or put my money on a few hands of blackjack. It's unregulated gambling and I think (and hope) the money grab has finally reached the crest.

I completely agree with all that was mentioned here. Last year was a blood bath in terms of overall value for the customers, but the sealed boxes (even the crap resale boxes BO can't sell in the black Friday "sale") allowed for a little bit of value. Now it is essentially $300 for some resale backs and stuck-by-lightning chance at an okay pack or meh-memorabilia.

A product that was once a value for the customer, has no become a dumping ground for the company. It really is a shame, but that is the way things are these days.

Definitely not true. You can sell on ebay or even locally but expect to get less than “true” value. Whatever that is.

Very difficult to sell and if you do it's absolutely at a fraction of what they will be valued at.

I bought one last year and was happy with it. I understood the complaints about too much retail, but overall I thought it was a good product.

I'm not touching this year's product, I have absolutely zero interest in a collection of packs. There's too many resealers on eBay to be able to sell the packs you don't want for anything close to value.

One of the last times I sold a batch of packs the buyer warned me that if any of the cards had fingerprints hed leave a negative and ask for a refund.

I bet he pulled some nice cards since I didnt hear a peep.

Everything on Blowout is still inflated. Not sure why anybody would think you would get value in this product this year.

The last sports box I bought on BO was a 2018 Chronicles Fat Pack box for $999 in November 2020. That was when Luka PSA 10s were all getting $200+ and it was $10 to grade. All those base have been cut to half or even a third, and it costs $30 to grade. But guess what the price is? Still $999! BO seems disinterested in selling most of the product they have available.
