A quarter of the way into the 100 caser

Cartaya has been steady in the chrome color... I think two gold
Tork not quite as good
Painter... one or two green

Petty has been dropping color autos consistently
Kath auto... brutal
Painter auto... sold spot

I think between Kath, Kusick, Ford, and Painter spots... $16k +/- between all of us in the Short Print Club.

Between Ebay and witnessed breaks across all breakers... I count 13 Ford Autos, two Kath auto redemptions, two Cusick redemptions...

Can't stack enough Petty autos, chrome, and refractors to overcome lighting $4K on fire.

Breaking is 95% lighting money on fire relative to the equivalent singles you could have bought.

My buddy has pulled two base Painter redemptions, but has not posted to eBay yet.

I also pulled a non-auto Tork variation from an SJ yesterday, so they are out there…

About two years ago, I broke into my tatis stash after an ebay buyer cursed me for losing a $15 purple chrome. They were going for $35 or so.

Hmmm... what is up I thought?

Ended up grading nearly a hundred refractors and chrome out of 500+/- cards I picked up in 2017 breaks. Non first bowman was an afterthought at the time.

Still cashing in with another batch at BGS.

Just this past year, I graded two modern Washington quarters for top populations and flipped them for over $2K. They came from a mint roll cost me about 50 cents per coin each not including grading fees.


I earned my skills fairly, but still, feels like I am playing No Limit holdem' with one card showing.

Opened 3 of my 5 lite boxes from Topps and have nothing to show for it besides a Mayer refractor…

Finally got my Super Jumbo in. Fun break and lots of sorting to do. Collation is a bit wonky, but fun. The Mayer obviously made the box, but happy with multiple Brady House cards and the Joe Mack auto as well. Color could have been a bit better, but obviously can't complain.

Received my “50ct box” from Topps of 1st edition. After seeing some rips online, seeing the quality issues and also knowing it would be difficult imagining a buyer wanting to purchase this as a box knowing the quality issues, I just decided to rip.

On the plus side did hit an auto although nothing to write home about.

12 “dud” packs out of 50.

12 total color outside of sky blue. 6 blue, 3 yellow, 1 gold, 1 orange and 1 green auto. Hajjar was the auto and no big names on the rest of the color.

26 sky blue. Best name Jobe. None of the big hitters.

Base wise - 1 Mayer, 2 Davis and 3 each of Lawlar and Montgomery.

Quality was terrible on almost all colors. Every one had some issue on one of the left side corners. Likely due to all the manual handling of packs and then stuffing them in a box to ship with the rigors of FedEx. I’m pretty certain the had employees opening 24ct boxes and creating these 50ct boxes. Pretty terrible from Topps all around.

Any idea what a Max Meyer red chrome /5 (non auto) would go for out of this? Pulled one out of a Lite Box earlier and couldn’t really find comps. I know it’s not crazy because it’s not his 1st but still I’d imagine i could get something decent out of it. Also pulled jay Allen paper green /99 and a Henry Davis & Frelick refractor, sky blue Ibarra, and a few nice black and white ray wave firsts out the same Lite box.

Opened a lite box and some super jumbos last night and nothing - not a single Mayer. This evening opened another lite box and 4 jumbo packs and much better. Pulled (4) Mayer cards with one being a refractor, and pulled a redemption card of Ethan Wilson red wave auto #/5. Pretty stoked about the pull, and what is the usual turn time for redemption cards. Thanks in advance.

That's about right. I had a Larnach from last year's Draft (hobby-wise they're pretty close). It sat on eBay for months (March-Aug?) and ended up getting about $65. So a quick sale of $50 is about right.

I run into this occasionally.

Have you tried clearing the app cache manually? Works for me every time.

I believe Pinango has his 1st chrome base here unmarked.

I don't remember him having chrome base in BC earlier with his 1st autos.

Pinango and Preciado both have first non-auto in this. But it isn't their 1st because they did have autos. I suspect a few others may be in this boat, but like Tx... I suspect I'm more aware of these two for obvious fandom reasons.
