Here’s a PSA 10 Ball in Dugout SSP that I actually don’t think is trimmed. BUT that’s because the upper edge still looks rough.

Maybe it’s not as bad as most, but it still can’t possibly be a legit 10, right?

My initial thought was that it would go for more...but then I checked the pop report. Turns out there are five PSA 10’s. I don’t know, I guess it could still go for more, but I was expecting there to only be one or two.

Regardless, it’s scientifically impossible that five legit 10’s exist. PSA should be ashamed. (Cue the laugh track.)

Starting to think they are grading this card on a curve. Most of the copies I’ve seen have been rough. I pulled one myself out of a clean Target hanger and I’m hoping for a 7 from the edge/surface marks.

More likely it’s a grader that knows someone. There is no way something like this gets out unless it’s someone helping a friend or being bribed. I find it sad that PSA can’t pull the records of who graded the card, who reviewed it, and who it belonged too and see if there are any patterns with other overgraded cards and/or a higher gem rate than average.

Who says PSA doesn’t keep a record of who graded what. I would say for sure they have the records.
If I was PSA I would not share that information either, for obvious reasons.

To be fair, it's a cell pic and just the slightest angle can reveal things on an edge that wouldn't show on a parallel viewpoint. One factor that goes into determining if a card is trimmed is what the edges look like in a scan. If the blade that cut the edge didn't do it at exactly 90 degrees then you can see what looks like perfect edge wear all the way down the edge.

That top edge might not have all of those white marks if it were a scan.

But yeah, I wouldn't pay a premium for a 10 on this card. I'd find a sweet 9 and hang my hat on it.

Cant remember, but 50 to 75 would be in the about right. Back of card isnt perfect by any stretch but the face is perfect..Love these Vlad cards and keep grabbing em!!!

Yeah. Unless that's glare, I'd put the over under at PSA 8.5 if it were graded today...and I'd probably take the under.
