ah, makes sense. Good choices. The other formats are tough to predict but those 2 are sure things. Come to think of it I don't think I pulled a 2nd year silver of his myself despite opening a lot of prizm at retail cost. Lots of base but no silver.

For me, it's fun to grab some bigger 2nd year cards that I would never be able to buy for rookies - but the allure of 2nd year just isn't there for most cards, even if they'll be really valuable in 20 years.

Thanks man this gives me some hope. Prizm centering this year has been absolute ass. I've read that PSA have been getting stricter recently but we'll see when I finally get them back sometime in 2024 lol.

Hopefully he will have a couple of MVPs award by then and the cards are 3x-4x what they were worth when you sent them in

On a similar note, I hit a redemption for a Optic Contenders Red Auto, at the time it was going $300-$400 so I went ahead and redeemed it. It took 8 months plus but by the time I got it back the card was almost 2k, sometimes its worth the wait.

For you experienced graders on Optic, does the print line on hypers effect the grade, or is it similar to the bubbling in Prizm where it doesn't? I have a Luka pink hyper I think I'm going to do add to my economy order, unless it's a guaranteed 8 or something because of it...

Yes it does, pink hyper are super hard to gem.

Yes it does if you're talking about those black lines on the front. The small horizontal roller lines on the back didn't for me though. It could just be that I graded 18-19 optic early when the cards weren't worth much but if people are now saying it's a tough grade, then I think it's either 1) PSA has really gotten tougher on everything or 2) All the raw copies being traded around the last 3-6 months are all the leftovers that didn't get graded originally so lower submission quality overall as even 9s may be worth grading now
