For those interested in the Japanese wrestling scene, a friend of mine, Kana, who is a popular female wrestler here, has started uploading a bunch of her matches on youtube. She is tough as hell and there are a lot of mixed gender matches against guys too. Check some out and leave some comments if you have some free time!

Sam was promptly uninvited, pulled anything about it from the WWWE.com page. Wish they'd do the same thing with the Bellas to completely ignore the storyline, but isntead they're bringing Springer in for Raw.

great stuff. thanks for posting this . i always loved japanese wrestling . these girls are so talented . most of the wwe fem talent is a embarasment to fem wrestling

Whoever thought of this idea in the first place should have been fired on the spot. Nobody in their right mind thought that this was a sincere gesture and the whole thing stole attention away from the WWE's actual product. They spent more time, in the closing minutes of RAW, hyping up the Sam invite than they did to build excitement for Jericho/Wyatt in a steel freakin cage. This is a realllly big match, but I haven't seen any wrestling fans talking about it yet, because the headline grabbing Sam invite stole all the attention.
If anything, I bet this whole plan backfires as wrestling fans take to Google to type in "Who is Michael Sam" and then tune in to the Cowboys game (if he makes the team) to see what the fuss is. Good work WWE, way to throw more hurdles in your own way.

The women over here are amazing. Many have told me they have no interest in the wwe because its such a step down in athletic level. They put on 4 and 5 star matches here all the time.

I'm used to be a huge wrestling fan in the late 90's. Used to watch wcw. In 2011 I went to my first house show since 03 and I had a sign saying wcw will forever be the best company. They took it from me. A few years ago my friend put a thong on a poster and wrote Layla you forgot these at my house and he was denied entry.

That was discussed on other forums already. The guy tries to play like he's a victim, when in reality he was being a drunken beligerant fool threatening people, throwing signs, and in general just an ass.

couldnt ur friend have tossed the sign .. or put away the thong to get into the show ... some tix are/were pricey

i used to do that all the time (not the thong part)

Knowing WWE and how Redditors tend to be, he probably deserved to be kicked out. My limited experience with live shows is that you are asked to get rid of your sign. I'd imagine he was quite hostile to the official and, as a result, was threatened with arrest.

People have their ways of skewing stories, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of them. Chances are if he was threatened with arrest, his actions warranted this type of response.

That's what happened. Earlier today someone came out and said the guy was drunk and acting crazy. Fans nearby even said they were relived when he was tossed.

so the name of the promotion is kana ? is there a site i can get these dvd's at ? or can you suggest a good site to get some of the more recent "good" japanese event dvd's . i need something else to watch besides whats on monday night

No, Kana is the wrestler. She appears in multiple orgs over here and is one of the most popular female wrestlers in Japan. Ive been doing the translations for her recent uploads.

Just to name a few. I have given up on wwe these days. Just crap. Japan shows are a million times better. I go to an event here at least once a week.

Is DDT still a purely comedy based fed similar to CHIKARA? I remember reading back in the day about how they had a ladder hold their hardcore title.

Ddt is merged with Union. They do serious and comedy matches. Their overall product is entertainment based but many matches are great.

And yeah, their hardcore title changed hands something like 10,000 times. Lol A girl in the front row won it once. The belt itself even won the belt.
