After that I bought his Camelot 3000 mini series and I was hooked.
Yeah, I think "Camelot 3000" was pretty much THE introduction of Bolland's work to the typical mainstream US comics fan. Terrific stuff.

It was kind of funny. While stationed in England circa 1980 I discovered Bolland's Judge Dredd work before most US comics fans, and later, while stationed in Japan circa 1985 I discovered Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira work before most US comics fans. In the case of Akira, I only bought a few of the six volumes, and couldn't read a word of it. But the art, oh, man! It was amazing.

@justice41: Very nice work, combining all the elements I love.

Glad I took so many boxes, seeing all of these nice sketches being posted here and feeling I need to have all of these ;-)

Posting this here since I brought it up in this thread:
Jim Kyle really turned out a great piece of work.
The long wait is completely forgotten.
Seeing the result, I get the impression I was impatient.

Thanks! Simon Bisley's Judge Dredd work influenced me with this set.

I'm happy about that as well.

Daniel Anderson's name will be removed from the cards and added to a 'contributors list' on the box. Daniel played a key roll in 'Occupation' though. He was the fan who commissioned a dual artist card of Chris Hamer and I after 'Invasion' which spawned the idea for the dual artist cards in 'Occupation' plus without his help, I couldn't have finished all the text on the back.

Thanks everyone. I'm happy on how the set turned out. It was truly the perfect job for my tastes - sports, card design and campy violence!

I wanted to thank Daniel some way so I'm glad Topps is putting a list on the box of all the people who help make the set.

Here's some closeups of the few cards that I've never previewed other than the entire set above. I was hoping Topps would make a poster set as I think they display well in a large format.

THANKS AGAIN!

No, but its getting close. Last weeks update was that there were starting physical production of the cards. Not sure what the tentative ship date is... I'm guessing at least a month out still.

I believe they said in their last update that they are on schedule to begin shipping in mid-late March.

Yeah... pending no further delays, nobody will see a card until April. So, figure May or June is more realistic?

Topps has been doing a great job with updates to backers. They posted videos and photos of the printing and proofing process last week. Great stuff.
