This is shades of the squad we saw last year that held number 1 after beating Phoenix.

Defense wins championships. Crazy that they're still down 2 of their starters.

He said trying to fit system… maybe that is sometimes not to be the man and distribute it. They just need to keep two man game between him and bi while cj is out and let everyone else stand around the arc

Some late blunders over came by defense and great coaching. Pels looking pretty good against some quality teams. When Murphy comes back that’s just gonna open the floor even more for Zion I’m ready

I get it. But that refusal almost cost them the game tonight, where the Kings made a huge run in the 3rd.

Hope he stays aggressive when the time calls for it. If he's kicking it out and teammates are bricking, it's time to take the game into your own hands.

There should be real conversations about bringing CJ off the bench whenever he gets healthy.

I think he's shown he's by far their best option running the show.

Yeah, CJ has the leadership and experience that squad's going to need if they make the playoffs. Not sure that can even be argued. Saw enough of him in Portland to know that he came up clutch when the situation called for it...it's just they lacked the overall talent to get to the next level. Not the case with NO.

He's ass defensively and he takes the ball away from Zion and BI. All their size in the starting lineup is one of their strengths. Trey, Herb, BI, Zion and Val is an enormous starting five and very switchable. CJ is always going to be a target.

He's still a 40% career 3 point shooter and averages 20 with a ceiling of 40+. He's not the greatest, but Trey's not a native PG in any sense, and you cannot depend on Zion to be full time point because his handles aren't quite there yet.

It's tough because Herb's defense is everything, but offensively he may be a liability come april.

I don't know who the odd man out is, but they didn't sign CJ for a bag to watch him ride pine. They knew he'd provide the leadership that'd provide cohesion for the young heads.

Ultimately I think most know CJ and Kelce aren't going to be resigned after next year if a championship isn't won within that time frame.

That's why CJ needs to come off the bench. This defense goes away the second he's inserted into the starting lineup.

We do know that. CJ is awful defensively. His size will always get exploited, pause.
