Only issue with that is there are still some numbskull buyers out there who cannot read and will get upset when you don't ship right away. I have 2 day handling on mine and get at least one message a week.

Sales have been slow, but I've been horrible at listing things lately.

Does anyone want to come over and list everything for me? I probably have about 700 unlisted articles of clothing in the basement.

Anyways, I haven't posted on here in a while either, so here are a few of my cooler pickups from the past month.

Yeah, I've found it doesnt matter what I do, some idiot on ebay will complain. When I sell stuff while on vacation, Ill drop the buyer a note, and have had no issues so far.

Picked up a computer tower in a trash pile at a garage sale today. Got it hom plugged it in, it powered up, and the 2 fans come on. Only thing missing was the hard drive, not a big deal. Already sold the fan with heat sink for 10.00. The power supply and other fan should bring another 30 or 40.00. The RAM if its good could be another 25.00. If its no good it still has value as scrap as does the mother board and processor. Not bad for a free item.

The setup and the photography on those shoes looks great! (I'm assuming you took those photos and they aren't stock.)

Yep I took them. Clean the shoes up to make them look like new. Use my Samsung S7. Some lighting and a small folding table with a white cloth handing over. Also have a plastic shoe holder that makes for great angled shots.

While searching my local Goodwill and local charity thrift stores for music CDs, DVD/Blu-Rays, and LaserDiscs, I occasionally pick up items that I do not collect, but I cannot let sit there. I picked this up today....

Anyone heard of these guys?

I wouldn't have bought the CD, but since it was autographed...

Thanks for looking!

Michael

My wife sold a surf style jacket that was purple for $60. Nice find.

Surf Style is always one of my favorite pickups. Some of the easiest sellers out there.

I have a purple one as well. There are a lot of purples on ebay, but when I didn't notice many teal ones.

I hope not. Seemed like a giant waste of money, but what do I know...I only do this as a hobby so maybe it had some value for people who make a living at this thing.

Haha, I went, and you guys aren't wrong!

I bought a ticket when it was announced, with a big part of it being that my folks live in Schaumburg where it was held at so there's my childcare, and if I picked up work for the date I would just eat the 120 or 150, I forget how much it cost.

I belong to all the big Facebook groups but do not watch YouTube videos at all, so I was not feeling the pseudo-celebrity vibe some attendees had for the presenters. Too much of the program was about starting YouTube channels, using social media and "sharing your story" which honestly I have zero interest in. There are YouTube videos and careerists for EVERYTHING, so in that respect it doesn't matter if it's reselling or baking cakes. So that was a turn off, I was really hoping for more talk of sourcing, best practices, stuff like that, but I can't even be that disappointed since that's all probably covered in these peoples' YouTube videos, lol

I left after lunch. The people who were psyched to be there I think had a strong sense of community with the presenters and the other attendees, from Facebook and YouTube and chats and whatnot, and I just wasn't remotely on that level so I wasn't engaged. Ah well!

Some of them have grown to the point on YouTube that that is their sole income, they don't need to go out thrifting or anything.

I'm also in several FB groups and the hero worship is a little odd when it comes to some of the Youtube guys. To the point where if you question them or disagree with them you will get buried by their "fans" or whatever.

Found this for $4 at a goodwill a few weeks ago. Sold it a week later for $175. Its probably the 4th auto book Ive found. Phil Jackson, Sean Astin, Nicholas Sparks were the others. This is by far my biggest return.

Very difficult and time consuming searching the books at my local stores. No organization whatsoever. Was waiting in line, looked down at the bottom shelf, and saw Aerosmith. Opened it up and KaChing!

Nice find!

On a related note, California has a new law about autographed memorabilia.

Autographed memorabilia focus of new California law generating feedback

I found this 1995 BRICKYARD 400 Official Program this past weekend. Does anyone recognize this autograph? I've tried comparing this to examples from drivers in that race, but I haven't narrowed it down yet.

Thanks

I kept thinking that was a "J" not half of an "H"

Very cool find. I have found many books with signatures in them. I guess thrift stores don't have time to look thru everyone that comes in.
