So Russell Wilson actually got to hit today. Struck out on 5 pitches, managed to foul one back. With ST-6 printing 1900 I wouldn't be surprised if we get a card of him batting.

Random thought.
I was thinking, if the Heritage base autos of Ohtani are selling over $1,000 (and over $3,000 for red #/69), I wouldn't be surprised if we see increased number of people buying into the Road to Opening Day Auto sets.
4 sets to guarantee his auto costs $1,200 even with using the coupon, but that is potentially less than a case of Heritage.

I know Heritage is way more sought after than Topps Now, but it's not a bad way to secure his auto (+ you get Trout and 2 some other player autos).
It's still expensive, but it just doesn't look as bad as it used to.

The uncertainty of when the cards will be delivered still makes it a huge gamble. I mean, if he gets injured or shelled early on before the cards ship out then it’s a terrible deal.

Yeah it's pretty risky for that high of a price. You aren't getting these RTOD auto sets until 3-4 months into the season

Have to think a Heritage Blue sells for 3-4x a Now auto though. Or maybe the type of collector paying that price for Heritage doesn't care which product it comes from.

For what it is worth the Topps Now release is not the first baseball auto for Russell Wilson. It looks like he had autos in Topps Dynasty.

Considering that some were available for around $800 last year end(?), I would like to say C), but I also do see that all the other listings are in range of $4000 BIN BO.
I feel like there will be some under $1200 sales still coming up, but you never know.
Maybe it is only upward from here.

I would not have bought it at $1800, but if you are happy/relieved to have it acquired now, I think it’s fine.

If this is a long-term PC hold, I would say E: Arguably a little high for an ungraded one right now, given what you might be able to get with some patience and negotiation, but a very solid long-term buy at that price, which you will probably feel brilliant about in just a few years (esp. if you have it graded and it's a "gem").

If you were intending to affect a short-term flip, then C/D.

Congrats (assuming it's the PC option).
