I picked up an Orange Wave Finest Auto in a trade on FB yesterday. I had to give up some Lux and Yordans but nothing high end at all. Very happy. I sold most of my good Tatis over the winter to fund the purchase of a Tractor but I kept these and a Topps Holiday RC Auto 9.5/10

Huzzah! Finally landed a pretty sharp looking raw sunglasses

not perfect on the back corners, but closest I’ve seen. And the corners are sharp, even if there is a hint of white on two under magnification.

Haha! Well... for better or worse I don’t grade any of our collection. I put up with it if I buy it slabbed, but otherwise I like the efficiency of having cards in top loaders

Pick one Sunglasses PSA 9 or Heritage action RC PSA 10?

I personally prefer the Action and traded for one. However it got lost in the mail so I’m going to end up re-buying one or the other

Sunglasses is a goofy card IMO. I'm taking the heritage action all day. Heritage Action is THE card for anyone bothered by flagship being horizontal/non-hitting. Best hitting rookie image available

I don't see anything bold about it. I don't think it would be a popular card if it wasn't a short printed variation.

I generally like Tatis' style but he's wearing sunglasses that would be the choice of a 5 yo girl. Just not an interesting card for me.

More seriously... there are nearly 10x more Heritage actions in existence. And they gem at a high rate. So probably 20-30x more PSA 10 quality action than PSA 9 quality sunglasses.

So if you want both, eventually, probably worth grabbing a sunglasses when you see one available. Because they will rarely be seen for sale, probably, going forward. That is, if my experience with my other PC players like Acuna, Devers, Bregman, and Eloy hold true for Tatis... or what I’ve followed in players like Ohtani.

It is exactly the oddity and unique image that I believe will keep it popular.

Everyone has plenty of his cards throwing or batting balls. They wouldn’t buy more if Topps hadn’t created so many short printed parallels of different colors and surfaces.

Not everyone has him looking silly in 5 year old girl glasses. It’s the only one in existence
