Went with horizontal for the slabs on both sides. Two showcase cards in the middle, really like it.

Same custom "Pick and Pluck" foam system, pretty neat the way it could be configured to your own desire. My cards probably don't deserve the case, but the old shoe box system was just embarrassing

Did you buy this online or in person?

FYI, anyone looking to get the aluminum case from Harbor Freight Tools. They are having a big Presidents Day sale for the next four days. They also have a 20% off single item coupon on their website.

Harbor Freight Tools ? Quality Tools at Discount Prices Since 1977

This is the way I set mine up. Cards don't move around at all when carrying it. I'm gonna get a couple more to showcase some of the better cards as other people did.

I’m up to 4 of these now. They look great and really make storage easy.

Makes the cards look ultra valuable. Much easier for the burglar to walk off with. Old dirty plastic container is the way to go.

I'll start a thread up once I start working on it as I'll need a lot of advice! Here's a pic of the room (staged):

There was a booth selling these same suitcases for $100 at the Chicago show last weekend. They were selling like hot cakes too.

When I get back home tomorrow, I’ll have to take a picture of my card catalog. My wife’s grandfather had one for years and he stored all kinds of random stuff in it. We inherited it and I made it work for collecting.

It has worked great for me over the years because I could store players by alphabetical order. Made it very nice when prospecting, etc so I could find a player quickly.

All top loaders and magnetic cases fit perfectly on their sides.
