The only way I can see to make money at $150/box is to list them immediately on eBay and hopefully be first.

Kevin Durant really saved the WNBA, got people on Blowout now excited to rip WNBA. He suggested Breanna go to NY, Ionescu had lost some hype let's be honest, now the WNBA has two big teams with a rivalry type feel (Aces-Liberty) and both are in the Finals. Stewart also had an MVP season in NY and I believe they had their best attendance at a game ever this year with tons of celebs in attendance.

If it comes out he practiced with Clark or something before March Madness this year it's over lol

I'm planning on creating an in-depth summary of Prizm year by year, but here are some brief thoughts:

2023 vs 2022: My first impression is that they reduced the checklist from 200 to 150, but added extra parallels (blue wave, teal), and bumped some parallel prints up so the total numbered cards is the same as last year. If numbered cards fall the same per box as last year, we're once again looking at ~1100 cases.
What this means in practical terms is you'll hit cards of your favorite player more often, but your overall hits will be more filler parallels, and the odds of hitting 1/1s and SSPs will be harder.

As for 2022 vs 2021, they increased the print run from ~966 cases to ~1127 cases, which was actually a modest increase considering the checklist expanded from 100 to 200. The expanded checklist meant it was harder to hit each individual player (if you were hunting Rhyne or Kelsey Plum for example), but the odds overall of hitting golds and 1/1s was increased due to the number of those cards increasing by 50%, with only a relatively modest increase in print run of 17%.

I too will be waiting for Prizm to drop substantially in price before I consider ripping.

I completely forgot that they jumped to a 200 card checklist last year. I opened so little, it didn't stick in my head like 2021.

On a sidenote, I saw the A'Ja Wilson 1/1 sold on Ebay already. Had a horrible horizontal print line just above center of the card. What a complete shame.

Just to document.......The 2023 Premium Box set (#/99 and auto #/10) got to the bottom of $250 and then sold out.

Thought about it, but was disappointed there wasn't an Aliyah Boston auto.

Last year players had anniversary cards and MVPs so players had multiple cards…which would seem to show actual number of players in two sets is similar (?)

Not much to chase in these sets. I haven't looked at the autograph checklist, but I'm guessing it's Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson, Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi... possibly Brittany Griner. Most of these players have Premium Box Set Autographs... this would make 40 for Bird, Taurasi etc... gotta use the 2 biggest names. The autographs aren't special anymore and the collector base isn't really growing that much.

Next year if Clark and Reese are in it.... that might cause some interest.

2022 Revolution 16-box cases are $400/$40 per box and 2023 Prizm 12 box cases are $800/$80 per box in Blowout's Black Friday Wave 2 deals.

Thank you for the heads up! I bought a Prizm case.

WNBA Origin:
I've picked up a couple Blank slates and they are really clean cards. I'm not sure what I think of the tiger eyes yet. I've held off but does anyone really like them in hand?? It's such a bummer all autos are stickers but cool either way Panini has made another WNBA set.

Hope you get a colorblast and whatever else you’re chasing!

The NBA blank slates are gorgeous but I wish these didn’t have the border. And the large Origins text at the top isn’t a great design choice IMO. But sweet cards never the less.

I’ve never seen a Tiger Eyes in person but I wasn’t a fan when it was introduced in NBA. Maybe they look better in person? There’s a bit more black background for the WNBA ones which helps it look cleaner but this feels like a set that was kinda thrown together to make another case hit.

Thank you! Hoping for a nice colorblast and a nice Aliyah Boston. I haven't opened a case in awhile so either way it'll be a fun rip.

I agree on the blank slates. I'm not a fan of the border or the large Origin branding but i'll take what I can get haha. A lot of Panini cards are a little busy for my taste. I'll probably hold off on Tiger Eyes.

The Tigers Eyes are OK in hand. Nothing that pops out on them.

I also collect Naismith HOF players, but so far, the majority of my players are NBA.

I do have one WNBA HOF player, Katie Smith, RC, with an on-card auto authenticated by BAS.

Ripped the case last night...whew! I've never ripped that much in one sitting, although I was sorting base as I went through each box. Picture is of the main hits, but I'll post a complete summary in the basketball box break section later this evening.

Congrats! Those are some sweet hits and great names! I haven't followed 23 Prizm case breaks much but that's more gold than I would have expected.

wxguy44 congrats on the great hits!

I got my case today and opened 4 boxes. I'm going to slowly open them over months. My main hits so far were:

Box 1: Red Brittney Griner Auto
Box 2: Gold Brittney Sykes
Box 3: Green Aliyah Boston /49
Box 4: Gold A'ja Wilson Auto

A nice Aliyah Boston was my main want and there isn't anyone I wanted more than A'ja for a gold auto. I probably won't open any more until Christmas but i'll post what I pull.

Nice job Mario!

I’m a degen ripper at heart so I blew through my 4 cases of Revolution in about a day and a half lol!

Overall, I would give my group of case a B/B+ for value and A++++++ for fun.

I’m not all that up on comps but my top cards were probably:
- Delle Donne Infinite auto /25
- Skylar Liftoff Galactic (beyond gorgeous!)
- Skylar Lava /10
- Mabrey Galactic
- A’Ja Cubic auto /50 & Fractal auto /99
- Sabrina Fractal auto /99

Also got a major stack of base autos including 4x Breanna, 2x Sabrina, 2x Sue, 3x Delle Donne, and dupes of a bunch of other nice names.

Haha 4 cases must have been a great time and those are some solid autos and great luck on the Skylar Galactic/Lava. This is only my second full case ever and it's been a blast so far.

Ripped a WNBA Origins case I got from Black Friday. Overall I'd say I got pretty great value. Will post a summary of my results later in basketball breaks.

Didn't realize I hit a 1/1 until sorting my stacks
