Starting pitching excellent through one week. I also did contact the Orioles to buy a Pasquatch single from the April 1 game. It was my birthday yesterday and also my 3rd niece was born so we are now birthday buddies so I had to get a ball to commemorate. I also have a game ball from the day my first niece was born. My second niece was born in the winter so no game balls. Also I've saved enough credit card points from my Royals Rewards credit card to throw out the first pitch at a Royals game. If all goes well I will be throwing out the first pitch on August 24 at the K. Better start practicing my fastball lol

Likely to Wyandotte county or (if they are smart) they'll re-evaluate the Clay Co proposal and move into a part of town that gives it the downtown feel they clearly want with minimal business disruption.

I am SOOOOOOOO glad Jackson Cty voted this thing down. It was so rushed, for NO REASON, the Royals missed every single deadline, self-imposed or otherwise, along the way and then didn't get a proper community impact statement completed until THE WEEKEND BEFORE THE VOTE. The absolutely deserved to have this vote crushed and I'm glad they did

Let's not even mention the laughable plan the Chiefs proposed. No dome, just a FB field w/ some awnings over where the K stood, and a ring around the cheap seats + a pedestrian bridge to nowhere. It was absolutely designed to fail IMO.

The likely outcome will be 2 new plans, a new site for the Royals to propose, and a better proposal from the Chiefs....but these will likely come with a .5 cent or higher tax ask instead of the 3/8 cent that was on this ballot, and if they are released timely, more professionally, and with more actual benefits for the community, they will pass by a larger margin than this vote failed.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see what the State of Kansas does to attract the Chiefs to Wyandotte County. Reports have suggested the Kansas Governor currently has access to over a billion dollars to attract professional sports teams to Kansas without needing a public vote so I’m not sure how Jackson County could possibly compete if that is true.

For the Royals, I agree it’s likely that the East Village and North Kansas City sites come back into play (which would be great because both those locations are better than the crossroads IMO).

I think you're forgetting that, regardless of his personal results, Will Smith is the reason for them winning. He's basically a walking four leaf clover. Three straight WS rings is all the evidence you need.

I've seen enough. He was terrible last year. We have a great lineup, great defense, great baserunners, great starters, and a garbage bullpen.

But hey, we're wining again today and looking like another sweep!! So, I'll take it.
