Starting to get serious Homer Bailey vibes from Hunter Greene. All the talent in the world, but never really puts it together to be consistent. Maybe/hopefully he proves me wrong.

He's 24 with 2.6 WAR (4th in NL) and an ERA of 3.79 before the all star break. What are we talking about here? He's put together a fantastic season so far and people are freaking out after one bad outing (and it wasn't even a complete disaster as he gave up 7 hits in 4 innings). Not to mention, his previous outing was against the same team, which is always a challenge. And he pitched a gem last time out against them.

They have some grit. SO much has come together this year and so much went wrong that's blamed on Bell. So frustrating because they can play like this!

Hard to recover from Marte PEDs, CES flopping and then getting injured, India missing time, Candelario starting ice cold, Friedl’s injuries leaving them with no leadoff guy, Benson playing horribly with arguably the worst OF in the MLB, and losing McLain (best hitter IMO).

At the same time, Greene figured out how to pitch, Abbott showed he's not a fluke, India showing up as a leader, Lodolo not being a fluke, and the bullpen hasn't been an Achilles heel.

Power for days!

He's obviously got a lot of swing and miss in his profile, but it's always cool to set a major league record (first player ever to have 5 extra base hits in his first 2 games).

Hope this just isn't a blip on the radar, he has looked other worldly. Just concerned about his MilB performance from Louisvillle this year.

He's always been a low contact guy with tons of power and athleticism. He will most assuredly come back to earth at some point. I'll just enjoy it while it lasts and hope he continues to develop. I've enjoyed watching him for years now. Now let's just hope he can make adjustments. He's definitely made some over the years (and is still only 23). Plus, remember, he has spent a lot of time injured, and missed the 2020 season as well. His development is behind his age, so there is a chance he catches up and lives up to his insane talent and athleticism.

Been stuck at 2-5 games under 500 for a while now. Win a few drop 4, rinse and repeat. I keep hoping they will run off 8 or 10 in a row to get into serious contention. Doesn't seem to ever happen.
