Ok I’ll admit I had never seen Gunnar’s real one heritage auto before this but that is a super sharp card. I may have to go hunting for one. That’s some serious bold auto as well. Nice ones Eye 👍

I wish you luck. I’d say I was very fortunate to get my 9 for $225. A few days earlier, an 8 sold for $231, and two raws sold for $300 in the couple days after I got mine. And there’s another raw currently at $275 with 11 hours left. But it might be worth the splurge. Heritage autos are usually really limited, and it is a sharp-looking card. A 22-year-old shortstop leading the league with 15 homers a little more than a quarter
of the way through the season… The dude is good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by eye4talent; 05-19-2024 at 03:23 PM. |

Gunnar or Soto would both be very deserving of the award today. I favor Soto in the long run because of his typical pattern of a summer surge.

He has four triples, which are basically doubles with a bonus base. So, if you look at it as 8 doubles/triples and 15 HR, the stat line would appear a little more normal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Soto. But only because he has the track record. Need to see more from Gunnar to prove he’s this level of elite. But I do think he is.

O's may have been able to lock him up long term for relatively cheap (talking like a 8 year/$80M type deal) this time last year, but forget about it now. Would probably take 10/$300M to even start discussions with him and Boras.

Somebody add Kyle Tucker to the comparison. He typically sucks until June, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up...

Can't tell if you are being serious ha-ha... Zero shot that was available, not to mention Gunnar being a Boras client as well. |

May I ask if it is serial numbered to #99 or that is just the stated print run? I see only one on ebay that is in a SGC holder, for like $225... Do you think that is reasonable? I am not too versed on these set variations, only the pack pulled examples. thanks! |

It's a stated print run. What’s interesting about these cards is that people aren’t opening factory sets like they used to, so these parallel sets are mostly still sealed. If that trend holds, then very few of these orange stars will actually be in circulation and go into collections. I personally think $225 should be viewed as cheap for that Gunnar. But people aren’t as hot on paper, these factory-set parallels were largely buoyed by the pandemic collecting boom, and there likely isn’t much awareness of how difficult these are to find.
