I also did not expect to see Edey picked in the top 10. Some of these guys either had killer private workouts or interviewed well I guess. Surprised Pop didn't want Buzelis mostly.

Most of the guys picked in this range will suck, no? I think Edey could be a useful player

Man, this is a bad draft if you are trading pick 8 for a pick in 2031.

I will never understand how teams can place proper value on a pick that's 7 years away. It seems very arbitrary.

There’s no way the Spurs flipped a #8 for picks 6 years from now…no way

I would love the fit if the Bulls take Matas here

Edey just feels like a plug and play replacement for Adams.

He's going to learn NBA refs won't be like college refs and all him to manhandle other players and not get called for a foul.

I mean there isn't anybody that feels like they have a wow factor in this draft. The ultimate wait and buy rookies after a few years kind of draft.

They got their guy at #4 and then decided to punt. Not a bad strategy in a tough draft.

I have to assume that the Spurs looked at 8 and said "There is literally no one left that can provide an immediate return, so lets roll the dice 7 years from now"

What's nuts about it is that it is likely to be a worse pick when it happens.

He'll be getting plenty of run on a revamped Chitown squad. Especially if they can find someone to ditch Lavine.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they trade derozan on an expiring too. Bulls tank season.

Only pushback is that the Spurs have glaring holes at several positions. Even a weak draft can plug some of them. May be something else brewing

Some absolute smokeshows with Topic and Anthony Carter. Always the best part of every draft.

This is the happiest I've been since...I don't even remember. Lonzo was healthy and we were winning games?

I'm on the Matas train, let's go

T Wolves barely have any picks for the rest of the decade and their guys will be old and cooked by 2031. It could end up being the #1 pick and they could be in the middle of a championship run in 6 years

My knee jerk reaction was to hate the trade because we need a PG so badly. But I’m gonna trust the organization

Nothing dumber than the pick having to wear the hat of the team that basically just traded him away

Yeah, why they can't just announce trades as they happen is still one of the dumber things about the NBA draft.

Before social media ruined everything. The “there has been a trade” announcement during NBA & NFL Drafts was one of the most exciting moments possible
