Probably best to not mention that since each underwent the process to have the other erased from their memory.

Another one I forgot about.

Also, as it was just on last night, was the movie "Heat" that had also slipped my memory.

I for got 1408. But it would probably be tied as a second runner up.

Impossible to narrow, especially horror. I’m a horror nut, at one point I had 500+ horror Blu rays here:

Favorite Movie - Halloween

Favorite Sports Movie - The Natural, maybe Moneyball

Favorite movie series - Dark Knight Trilogy

Favorite Comedy - Mallrats, also Airplane

Favorite Horror Movie - The Thing (‘82)

Favorite Rom-Com - ?

Also:

Casablanca
Godfather part 2
Star Trek 2
Iron Rose
The Beyond

My fav horror movies would be be easier.

I had Halloween as my favorite as well. With, Alien in a very close "photo finish" second. But you are right about the horror genre. There are so many I can call favorites but the top four (Halloween, Alien, Descent, The Thing) will always be my Mount Rushmore.

I would also have Mall Rats near the top for Comedy. I'm not much of a comedy guy but Mall Rats, Dogma, Caddy Shack,In Bruges, and Strange Brew are among my favorites.

Sounds like we have pretty similar tastes.

"Jaws" is on a lot of lists.
Peacock Plus is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the movie with the version that was cleaned up for a theatrical re-release earlier this year. It has the new intro from Spielberg himself made for that. There's also a deluxe Blu-Ray with a new super in-depth documentary, plus deleted scenes and the rest that came out on June 20th, 50 years to the day since the movie took the world by storm.

Anyway, watching it now, I just saw that the second victim of the shark, the boy on the raft, was killed on June 29th, so today's the 50th anniversary of that event, given that the film is set in 1975. The kid's name is Alex Kintner, and is referred to as the "Kintner Boy". About 25 years later (and now 25 years ago), I noticed the term come up again in the movie "Bad Santa". Two characters encounter a safe by that name that is difficult, but not impossible to crack, so at least one of the scriptwriters of that movie was definitely a big fan.
