Just a single card to show off tonight- A bit overdue, but stoked to have this now!

2013 Bowman Black Autograph Alex Meyer #ed 09/25

Thanks to fellow Twins fan twinorgohome for the deal! I LOVE these Bowman Black autos, so I'm pumped to be able to add another one to my collection!

My Topps digital card sales have slowed recently, so haven't had as much spending money of late. Hope to pick things back up and get some stuff rolling in tho! Thanks for the look!

I really like that Meyer card, congrats!

His MLB stats were rough this year, but hopefully he'll improve. He has a lot of potential.

Thanks! Yeah, his MLB stint didn't really work out last year. But, there's plenty of time for him to turn things around!

I agree, they're probably my favorite auto cards from the past few years. Something about silver on black is just super appealing. Here's my Ryan Eades from the same set (not a new card, have had this one for awhile) along with the Meyer

Nice pickup on the Meyer! Hopefully he turns it around next season. I had one of those Meyer's at one point but sold it, funny enough I just looked through my pics of cards I've gotten rid of and it is the exact same card

Oh really? You must have sent it to twinorgohome. Really fun when you can track where a card goes after you send it somewhere else

Went out of town for Thanksgiving, but there was a hobby shop 5 min away from my grandparents house where we were staying, so I had to stop by once again! Got a box of 100 9-pocket pages, finally got a box of 100 20-pocket pages for minis, a discounted hobby box of 2015 Bowman Chrome, and 3 singles. Here's a quick recap. Didn't put a ton of time into these pics, so sorry about that. I'll start with the contents of the 2015 BC box:

Rookies:

Inserts:

Refractors (Carrasco refractor /499, Lucas Sims purple /250, Rusney Castillo gold /50):

Autos (Cody Reed purple /250, Casey Gillasapie base):

So, while it was a fun break (something I usually don't break), and fairly colorful, it looks like I'll come out on the losing side of this one. The box was on sale, so I won't take too much of a hit monetary-wise, but I was hoping for something that would be a decent hit. Still, I don't break Chrome much (ever, really), so it was fun to break something different. I like the inserts I got, especially the Severino, Giolito, and Owens mini/tall things. Just bought a bunch of the Twins ones, I think they're cool

Also picked up 3 random singles I found ('64 Sam Mele, '66 Mele, '14 Platinum Xfractor Eddie Rosario):

Pretty happy with the Meles (cheap and in really good shape for their age), and I've been wanting to get some more Rosario cards after the great year he had, and Xfractors are awesome

That's it from the card shop! I did also blow $20 on COMC in mostly lower end cards (30-60 cent cards), but that package won't be here before I head back to school, so I'll have to wait until winter break- That should be a fun one tho! I got a bunch of cards for my Twins sets, but also was able to grab some inserts, refractors, etc that were priced really low. Looking forward to that package, I'll post the contents when they arrive!

Thanks for the look, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Looks like it's only worth a few bucks, so I'll probably just hang onto it for the slim chance Reeds cards skyrocket in value sometime

Yeah I was hoping the BC box would bring a bit more value, but I can't complain too much. Got some good color, just not all the right names. Still just spending some time again in a shop was a bunch of fun! Saw some really cool cards, including a '49 Bowman Stan Musial that was in really good shape. But yeah, I was happy with the Mele cards I found- Not too expensive, but they're in really nice shape. Overall was a pretty fun time

Time for what will be a very scan heavy post! I'm back home from college after the end of the semester, and I had a bunch of packages waiting for me. I picked a few of them to get pictures taken care of tonight, but I'm saving a few to take care of over the rest of the weekend as well. But, here's a few of the packages! I'm going to go in rough chronological order, but let's start with the autos and relics. Only 2 to share this time around!

First off is a cool Buxton auto! Yeah, I know it's from Leaf Ultimate Draft, but it's numbered to 10 and I think it's pretty cool! Really like how they included the state of Minnesota on the card-

Next was a freebie sent over by a friend I've made along the way- Thanks for the sweet dual relic that includes Killebrew, Nick!

Nothing from this point on will be anything too crazy. Lots of random set help, but a lot of refractors, inserts, etc mixed in. I'll try to get these posted in somewhat of a yearly order, but we'll see how it goes! I'll throw some comments in there as well-

2015s

I'm a big fan of these Farm's Finest minis from Bowman- Just really love the pattern they give off!

Also think these Prospect Profile inserts from BC are pretty sweet as well-

A combo of some set help from Finest, as well as some progress made in the Trevor May master rainbow (attempting it for his autos, non-autos, and Finest Firsts inserts). I'll get an updated look at my progress for May's rainbows up sometime in the next few days- I'm doing pretty well, I think!

Others- Really like the pink refractors, they look super sharp in person

2014s- Not a whole lot, but the Rosario is a mini /25, and the Polanco is a sparkle variation SP

2013s- Kinda just a random smattering. Couple inserts, couple refractors, etc etc

Couple of minis (Molitor is a photo variation)-

Past 2013, there wasn't a whole lot from a particular year, so I'll just list the rest for this point in one big clump

That's about half the packages I had waiting for me Going to get the rest of them uploaded over this weekend. Was a ton of fun to have a bunch of sweet cards waiting at home for me coming out of finals! Thanks for the look, stay tuned for some rainbow updates and more cards that I had waiting for me!

Alright, here's part 2 of (probably) 3 posts with my packages that I had waiting at home for me! This one will be all Chris Herrmann post. Let's get to it!

Won another blue refractor off eBay for 25 cents

The rest all come from fellow Twins fan HOFAutoRookies- Thanks so much for these, this was an amazing free gift!

We'll start things off with the lower end ones, a paper base, 2 paper blues /399, 2 chrome refractors, a chrome purple refractor, and a chrome X-fractor /199-

Those cards alone would have been an awesome gift, as I hadn't gotten around to picking up a paper base or paper blue yet, so those knocked off a few of my needs. Now I just need 2 of the printing plates for the full Draft paper rainbow, including all 1/1s! However, this wasn't all that was in there- There were 2 more cards!

First, there was another gold refractor /50!

That brings my count of Herrmann's gold refractors up to 4 of the possible 50. But, there was still one more card inside...

.

.

.

.

.

.

A orange refractor /25!

Brings my count of the orange refractors up to 3 of the possible 25. But man, I was NOT expecting to find a gold and an orange refractor in this package!

Another HUGE thank you to HOFAutoRookies for these sweet Herrmanns! I really, really appreciate it!!

I'll be posting these up in my Herrmann showoff thread eventually too, and I will get some updated rainbow pics up in both threads to as well. I do still have 2 or so more packages to share in this thread as well, and I'll get that up sometime in the next few days. Also will get some updated rainbow pics up in here, as promised

Thanks for the look, and thanks again to HOFAutoRookies and all the other great members here on BO that really make this a great community!!!

Thanks, and yes, I do still need that one! Haven't found one at a price I'm happy with yet. What would you be looking for in return?

This series I've been doing will actually turn out to be 4 total posts. Here's the 3rd!

I joined Blowouts Secret Santa gift exchange this year, and it was fun to pick out some goodies for my member and send them over. I had my package waiting for me, and here's what was inside! The rest of this post was just copied from the SS showout thread in the OT section-

We'll start with the surprises- Wasn't expecting any movies, but they're not bad! Love the Mission Impossible movies, MIB was pretty good, and never got around to seeing Spider-Man. Now I can!

Now to the cards-

Don't know much about these, but I got a few Black Label cards from 1998 Topps Gold Label. Looked them up on eBay and the Griffey has sold for around $8 before, so they must be worth something. Gold Label is just an awesome looking set too, these 4 cards are pretty sweet!

Now to the Twins stuff-

Eddie Rosario auto/relic /10! Have been wanting to get some more of his cards, but haven't gotten around to it yet- Now there's one less card I need

The rest of the stuff will all be of my all-time favorite Twin, Justin Morneau! Good player choice, SS!

Some ink-

Nice patch-

More ink-

Very cool triple relic commemorating his MVP season /27-

Sweet Sportkings patch numbered 2/5-

Both versions of his auto/relic from '07 TTT, with the bat pieces in the shape of stars, and spelling out "MIN" (both /99)-

And, just for good measure, the Emerald parallel of his auto/relic from the same set, numbered /50-

Thanks, Secret Santa, you did well and have made me very happy!!!
