I support Jameis, but I did want Mariota instead. Mariota is picking apart this defense

What defense? Isn't this why we brought in Lovie?

He has no clue.

Winston is not playing good, but there are a lot of issues. Secondary, pass rush, O-line and just all over both sides of the ball. You start to really wonder about Lovie Smith as a HC.

I guess our first game in a new offense with 3 rookies I should expect this but damn.

I expected some struggles on offense but there really is no excuse for the defense being this bad. If this game is any indication of how the season will go I'm not sure how Lovie survives. Outside of a bunch of season ending injuries this is as bad a start as I could have imagined.

I can't remember a team scoring 42 points while only gaining 266 yards.

Buccaneers could certainly be vying for the top pick in next year's draft.

I really hope the Bucs trade Glennon before he has to start games again for them. Let him shine elsewhere.

Weeden and a 4th Round pick for Glennon, please?

ASJ high stepped it into the end zone. Even as they were down 5 Touchdowns. Further evidence that Lovie Smith needs to go.

Why does that mean Lovie has to go? Just curious

What coach is going to allow show-boating when their team is down 35 points?

Just curious.

Lovie might be ripping into him today for that. We don't know. It's not like Lovie could stop him as he was high stepping

Happened last year with the captain Morgan incident, needs to be the last time. Lovie's words from his press conference were "no I don't have a problem with austin scoring touchdowns."

We've got dozens of bigger issues though.

It was also frustrating to see all the penalties. 12 for 97 yards is an absurd amount. I can live with Winston making some poor decisions or the Oline not playing well, those things were to be expected. If I'm not mistaken they were the most penalized team in the NFL last year and so far nothing has changed. Its hard to put together drives when you are seemingly starting with 1st and 20 or 1st and 15 all the time.

Yep - that much is clear. I hope he laid into them hard after the game.

I am not ready to throw in the towel yet, but if the first game was any indication of where this team is going to be, then it will be a very, very long season.

I'm sure he didn't. I'm sure in a cool, calm, collected manner he said "We're not where we want to be fellas, we'll get this thing fixed" like he always does. I think the lack of passion and emotion comes from the top down, it's not going to get better under this bum. Will they play better than yesterday? Sure, but not much.

Prepare for the Top 5 pick and say hi to Robert Nkemdiche or Ronnie Stanley.

Mike Evans practiced today, all signs point to him being healthy and playing Sunday.

Good news. Hope that the QB and receiver core can take advantage of a depleted Saints secondary.

The offense should look better and put up more than 14, the defense I have no faith in. Saints should get an easy W

Yeah, this could be one of those games that the defense winds up losing, even if Winston winds up playing better. Although I expect Gerald McCoy to put some pressure on the QB, but it can't all be on him. That defensive unit needs to play a heck of a lot better. Regardless, Drew Brees should have an easy time finding his receivers downfield. You can bet the Saints don't want to go 0-2 and lose at home.

It also does look like Mike Evans might play, I guess we will all know shortly before game time. I predict final score, 28-17.

And the Bucs start 0-2 to my chagrin.
