I think the fundamental issue is that some people are far more upset at the idea of an undeserving team sneaking in with the #12 seed than they are at a deserving #5 seed being left out.

I'm not against any of that. I think the limit should have been six if they were going to expand. Every conference would have the opportunity to get a team in, but it wouldn't be guaranteed if their champion was 8-5 and pulled off one upset in the CCG.

Edit: I should have said every P5 conference plus one G5.

Can we pause here?

Because this is reasonable.

In my view an 8-5 team isn't anything to worry about because that would be a fluke and they'll get bounced in the first game.

But that aside, this post is the first one that makes sense and I'm content to leave you be as a Sixer Supporter.

Actually, I don't throw out personal attacks. I might be a jerk who argues with people, but I don't throw out personal attacks. I'll leave that to you. It reveals a lack of character and maturity. Someone disagrees with you about the direction of college football, and they are a "fool". I have never done that. Not once.

Funny thing about college football, and every season ohio state is a prime example, it only takes one game for a team to blow their chance at being a championship team. They always talk a good game and in the end it's usually a couple SEC teams, Clemson, and some podunct 4th team that ends up in the playoff. Oh yeah, I will save you from making the usual "yeah and when has Tennessee ever sniffed the playoff" post

Tennessee might more than sniff the playoff if they can keeping playing the way they have been. I always thought they got seriously hosed by having to play Alabama every year in the East but I sure as heck can’t wait to see this Saturday’s game.

If Bama had to face Ohio State and Bryce Young wasn't playing, it would be a close game, but Bama would still probably win.

So you watched them playing with their backup freshman quarterback and saw all you needed to see?

In the only game OSU has been tested this year, they beat a now-exposed Notre Dame team by 11 whole points. Win out your schedule before saying you could smoke Bama.

Pretty sure Buckeyes fans said this last year, then lost to Michigan.

And in 2020 before getting smoked themselves by Bama.
