Haha. Thanks. I knew I married the right person last night when I told my wife I had 10k in my paypal this week from cards. I said - I think I'm gonna take out 8k and play with the other 2k. She said nope, spend that 10k on more cards.

I mentioned this in Mar 2019 when I started collecting Mahomes. This has been my approach ever since I started collecting sports cards in May 2018. Trout 2009 BC Red Refractor Auto/5 sold recently for $900K!

See how much they have appreciated. It is the human psychology, collectors with big pockets want to have the first and rare one, i.e low numbered rookie cards.

As I mentioned before, Mahomes is a high risk high reward speculation for me.

Honestly you would think it should be close to a national treasure but it’s not even close… Last year national treasures were $25,000 for a BGS 93 color… Last year at the same time I bought a flawless BGS 9
3color /25 flawless for only $3200… So the national treasure is worth about 8x a flawless… The same day I bought mine there was a 9.5 that sold in auction for 6000…

Of course just like everything else Patrick Mahomes, in 8-10 months time everything looks Like different pricing realities… I agree the flawless does look amazing but there is nothing to compare to the national treasure. You just cannot find them, I think it could go down as the most expensive national treasure ever made?? His black /5 or 1/1… If one ever surfaces for sale

We are in a similar boat. I have a flawless three color RPA out of 25. BGS 9, Auto 10. One can only hope they get to NT status or at least somewhat close!

Just pulled up PSA and this was the last time I submitted for myself (one year ago this week). Since then I've been using Jewcer. Not a bad sub though - wish I still had them all.

Congrats onepocketj on the sale mate....bravo.
Question for all and sundry.....i bought an xzy many months ago bgs 3 9.5 and a 9 for surface.It was recently send to a gentleman who cracks slabs and resubmits...issue is that under led light and extreme magnification,there are 2 surface dimples on the front of the card.His advice is to leave it as he thinks it could be downgraded to a 8.5 and then i'm screwed....anyone here resubmitted these and lost a mark or be bumped?
The video he sent me shows the imperfections,so no doubt what he was saying.

Not PSA...the guy said we would have no hope....yes,a bump from 9 to 9.5.

No point really, the .5 isn't going to get you a huge boost and it sounds far from a sure thing anyway. I'd just be happy it 9.5'd. They do minimum grades, I don't know if they do mg for specific subgrades, but you could send it it in the slab with a note saying "MG 9.5 surface" and see if it gets a bump. Probably would be annoying for whoever ended up buying it online thinking they could cross it to PSA though.
