I haven't seen it (I can't do subtitles, I focus too much on the words and miss out on the movie a lot) but my sister and Dad recently watched it after hearing about all the hype and they said it was just ok.

"Veronica" was fine, much like the "Exorcism of Emily Rose", "The Conjuring", and movies like that. The acting is solid and effects very well done.

20 minutes into Gerald's Game.

Solid start.

Nope. Terribly cliche'd; strong start and just downhill from there.

Some movies actually do benefit from actually being watched while they're on as opposed to "computing" throughout them.

I though it was pretty good, especially the part where she gets her hand out of one of the cuffs, pretty cringe-y material, and in a good way.

Someone must've been happy with the director Mike Flanagan's work on "Gerald's Game" as he's now landed the same job on "Doctor Sleep", the superb sequel to "The Shining". Looking forward to that and the "Castle Rock" series on Hulu this summer.

Did anyone take advantage of the Killing of a Sacred Deer .99 cent rental on iTunes? Even at $1, I couldn't force myself to rent it.

Finally watched the Void, didn't like. I understand they were going for a sci-fi-ish 80's horror movie aesthetic, but those were the worst type of 80's horror movies imo. If you are going to go that route, do a slasher or a creature feature.

Yeah, I wasn't taking a shot. I just wanted to give "Doctor Sleep" and "Castle Rock" a shout-out.

Speaking of King, has anyone else seen "1922" on Netflix? It's basically Tom Jane playing Tom Hardy and is something of a slow burn, but it does have some real chills in it.

I so wanted to like this movie more. After a great start with strong practical effects, it just bottomed out into a mess of a movie.

I watched “Ravenous” over the weekend. Not the good “Ravenous”, but the other not so good one.

Tonight I will be watching The Decent.

Seen it a long time ago but forgot what it was about. Bunch of chicks in a cave being chased by creatures, it was something like that.

Watched Veronica last night. Was decent. Story was nothing new but the girl who played Veronica did a great job acting.

I enjoyed decent, the ending on Netflix was different from the one I remember watching.

Pretty sure the girl DID NOT drive in a car at the end. The one I saw many years ago, she was still in the cave with no hope.
