Me and wife took a trip to Dallas/Fort Worth yesterday, went to 2 Family Thrift Outlets and the Goodwill outlet. I snagged 2 pair of Rock Revival Jeans, a pair of BKE booty shorts and several jerseys at the Family Thrifts . At the Goodwill snagged another pair of Rock Revivals and a pair of Miss Me. Found a badly ripped paid of "For all mankind" they were beyond what you could get away with as being distressed. When I picked them up I was thinking I could cut them into shorts and still get something for them, but the main rip went all the way up to the crotch seam so had to pass.

It looks like a replica of a Navy flight jacket. Probably made by a company called Airborne Leathers. One recently sold at auction on ebay for $36.

Had a very interesting week thrifting/searching for mainly signed items, still kinda in shock about one of them.

Signed books
Resilience-Elizabeth Edwards(dscd 2010)
Jerry Wolman: The worlds richest man-Jerry Wolman(dscd 2013)-Eagles Owner
History of man in space-mike mullan-3x astronaut
The year we disappeared- signed by both cylin and John busby
The spirit of a man- Iyanla Vanzant-OWN Network Host
There's nothing in this book I Meant to say-signed by Paula Poundstone-disgraced Comedian
My foot is too big for the glass slipper-signed by Gabrielle Reese-gold medalist

Redskins HTTR Hat signed by Santana Moss-Redskins fan Fav
Houston Astros hat signed by C.J. Nitkowski-10 year Mlb Journeyman

2013 Brian Orakpo charity event signed football-redskin/Titans

2 Monster Energy MMA gloves Both Signed by Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis

And the thing that blew my mind, I found a frame, inside this frame was a Original Photo of a couple guys I'd seen before......Signed by one...

It looks to be a wedding photo of the groomsman, I believe the man to the left of the middle is his father and well the guy to the right of the middle signed it.

The photos for everything are after the one from above, need to find someone I can consign some of this stuff to if anyone has any suggestions please pm me

Went to one of my new favorite places today, its about 60 miles from me. They buy out storage units, remains from apartment clean outs and such in Dallas. Got 2 nice pairs of Ski Boots a complete HO scale train set with tons of extra track, about 30 children's VHS tapes and a few oddball t shirts for 10.00.

Went to one of my usual estate sale companies sale. They usually run Wed-Friday with Friday being the big clean up day. Bought a Mike Modano Signed Stars puck, about a dozen Barbie dolls, a small Versace Parfum handbag and a bunch of misc Christmas items that will end up in our garage sale for 12.00

The dolls should average around 5 eachm the handbag is 25-30. The puck is 50 to 75.00. The other stuff another 100 or so, but it will be phased out through several garage sales most likely.

Score! 65" Samsung TV stand!

I can picture the befuddling look on your faces.

What? A TV stand?

I thought the same thing a few months back. I nearly walked right past this same exact stand at Goodwill. Then I looked it up for the heck of it. I was floored at what they sell for. I bought that one for $6.99 and sold it for $149.99 plus shipping. I picked this one up for $4.99 and should get the same for it. Always keep a look out for Samsung, Sony, and LG tv stands. The bigger the better.

I can't wait until the first of April. I've ran out of my 250 free listings and have at least 20-30 items to list. Numbers are looking great through the first three months of the year, on pace to beat last years numbers so far which is fantastic.

Found original box full of these yesterday. 30 letters total, sold 3 already for almost double what I paid. Older guys might remember these from kindergarten, I did.

I found something that should flip well...6 Cabbage Patch Kids from 83-85...snagged em for $5 each at a rich ladys last day of estate sale.

Can hardly find good comps on eBay, some people in a FB thrifters group have said the one in the lion onesie & the witch should bring the most $

I have done well with dolls recently, but never done good with Cabbage Patch Kids. I generally can get them all day long for 2 or 3 dollars each. Found 4 last time I went to the Goodwill Outlet they weighed just less than 3 pounds so paid less than 4 for all of them. These were from 83 and 84.

Just missed out on one signed by Billy Graham last week, one of my rivals in the local estate sale game beat me to it and showed me at the sale.

Anybody looking to make a deal on any bulk "vintage" clothes? Doing a show in Dallas in a few weeks, seeing if anything is out there.

This was my last setup

Found a few box sets of anime dvd's of the series City Hunter which I guess is pretty popular. Paid $56 for the set and sold it last night for $261.

Question is, it's going to California, should I ship media mail with shipping and insurance and signature confirmation for $12 or just bite the bullet and pay the $25 for priority mail shipping with insurance and sig confirmation? What would you guys do?

And on a side note, that set up is pretty sweet for your vintage clothing booth. What kind of show is it that you set up at?

Holy cow that's a set up!

Hess - if you're adding all the bells and whistles you might as well fork out the extra $13 so they get it in 3 days instead of 2 weeks. If it was me I'd ship priority with insurance and relay on the free Sig confirmation they may or may not give and trim $2.35 there.

Actually if it was me I'd just ship it priority considering what you've got in it and ebay offers $100 insurance so if I lost it I'd still almost double my money.

Willthey fit into a FRB or a regional box? A regional Box A would be my choice. I probably would not insure or anything. USPS has a tendency to find ways to get out of paying on insurance anyway unless its lost and SC is not required until you hit 750.

Thanks for the quick response. I ended up shelling out the extra $13. I figured if they're willing to pay that much the least I can do is get it to them in a reasonable manner. Profited right around $150 which I'm happy with.

Shreve, could you expand on the whole "Regional Box" thing. I'm always trying to look into saving money on shipping so any info helps. I do the flat rate boxes, I have the padded flat rate envelopes for any clothing over a pound, but am unfamiliar with the regional boxes.

Thanks!

Regional boxes are similar to the FRBs except they are priced based on the region they are being shipped to. The A box is based on 2 pounds and the B box I think is 4. So if you are shipping to your own region the A is around 7.50. For me shipping to either coast runs about almost 10.00 in the A box. Which is cheaper than a medium FRB. There is a lower weight limit on Regionals but I think it is 15 or 20lbs.
