While I've always been partial to 71 and 72 Topps sets, I cannot disagree. The 75 looks very nice. Enjoy it since it's all standard white border sets for the next decade of releases, assuming Topps keeps it going that long.

Good point, but other clues: the 2008 black back set was 110 cards.
the 2011 tint sets were 110 cards. In 2013 and up actions were 25 cards which points to a 100 card sheet size too....we really can't know unless sheets make it into the wild.

Regarding the hard-to-read backs, someone else mentioned the fact that the cardboard color appears to be part of the actual printing. Why can't Topps/Fanatics use actual gray cardboard? Could the actual dirt-cheap method of printing cards 50 years ago be more expensive than the way it's done today? They also need to scrap that glossy/textured finish on the card backs. Sad that the only reason it's used is for the flip-stock gimmicks.

Also noticed that (for the first time ever?) Topps forces you to visit their website to view pack odds. Now they're filling that wrapper space with additional disclaimers regarding counterfeit/unauthorized cards. Good luck finding pack odds in a few years' time when Topps purges older info from their site.

In years past it has been no problem. Off centering was only real issue.

I have no idea how they can make such a mess with something like this

Maybe it is being cheap. New cardboard ? New printers ?

I love this product. But the backs are the worst issue. Even over collation price etc

I studied the Heritage patterns thoroughly in 2021 and 2022; I didn't take the deep dive for 2023. Yes, it appears there are 100 cards per sheet. Thus, there are four or five sequences in a 9-card pack (4 if the pack is all base, 5 if there is a "hit").

For 2024, the number of cards for sequence 1, 2, and 3 will vary per pack. One example: First 2 cards are from one sheet, then the next three are from the second sheet, the next 2 are the third, then the hit, then the fourth base sheet's solitary card brings up the rear.

In years past, the "hit" would be in the middle, the #3 sequence. (It was usually card # 5 out of 9).This year, it in the #4 sequence, meaning the hits don't appear until card 7 or 8 in this year's packs. The last card is a single-card sequence, meaning you're only getting 1 per pack and 24 of them per box. That sheet's position could change, meaning one run's bottom card could be higher up in the order in an earlier or later printing.
Like others have said, everyone's results may vary.

True, though the 1980 has a nice look. Plus, some of the plain years can look amazing too, like the 1957. But I do love the color this one has given us and they did a pretty nice job with the chromes.

As for the mistakes, let's face it, card companies make mistakes every year. In the long run, it's often part of the charm.

Just waiting for the price dip, then I'm getting some. I have to say that this is probably the best heritage set out there. I did like 2020 but the condition was terrible with the black border.

Hobby was down to $70 by the beginning of July last year. This years has vastly more issues and is more heavily produced. I’ve annecdotally already heard of $75 hobby boxes and also Target already ran a 25% off sale on all its stuff(retail) including all 2024 products.

5 minute google search yields a shop in Florida selling boxes at $80. They show 51 in stock.

holding onto a mega box to open while sitting around erranding on Saturday. Looking forward to it! Although it's a target box and I prefer the blue shimmer exclusives. Excited to see the cards in hand.

I’m tired of heritage too. It’s not my cup of tea this year, but I’m not that old as other collector. Also, the pack odds of something nice are too difficult.

Plus not any autos I’d like to have.

So I agree with others. It’s okay to say you’re exhausted of this product. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to enjoy reading what others are pulling.

I have paid between $76-79 per box from my LCS. I feel for anyone who is paying $90-100/box for this.

Nope. In fact, I look very, very forward to when they continue to release this set in the future and highlight my favorite late-70s and 80s designs. The rookie reprint autographs are amazing. This year with Brett, Hernandez, and Rice all signing made for a great release. I'm stoked to see what rookie reprint autographs they continue to put out with each year. The 1978 set is going to be amazing, assuming they get Eddie Murray to sign his 78 Topps RC. Sign me up.

Yeah, don't underestimate the power of Gen X. We are just starting to see their impact and by the time we get to the early 80s, Heritage may be stronger than ever....if Fanatics doesn't screw it up.

Getting back to the base set, these guys appear to be shortprinted... It will be interesting to see if Retail has more of these guys than the rest to balance out the overall distribution or if they are truly shortprinted. I have no more than 11 cards of each one and some as few as 7. (note: I may have missed one or two as I was scanning my Excel file but it's pretty complete if not complete).
