That's exactly why they do it. If you make something sound like it's a good deal and in demand, people will buy it.

It's the same reason why they put limits on items they know no one will buy the limit for. They get people who don't know any better to think it's in demand.

The sad thing is if you started looking at these deals at 2PM (ET), you would have seen the same deals from 6AM, 10AM, etc.......
